Just buy 8mm internal diameter rubber hose. About 1.5m should be enough. Replaced mine with the ptfe braided stuff but it's too stiff so went back to rubber.
  5. Am sure the only difference between early and late lights is the glass and the black surround on the lense
  6. Something worth noting is you should have the upper timing cover skimmed with the head.
  7. I bought one and could never get it working, i think you need to muck about with port settings on the laptop, i ended up buying the rosstech stuff instead. Still have the ebay one if you want one to try instead of buying one
  8. I mistakenly cut my Brown/black sensor out, thinking it was only needed for air con, fitted a blank to the thermostat housing. It had no effect on the fans so i'd discount that. Can you connect 12v power straight to the fan motor to check that is working?
  9. I haven't but web addresses/names like that never fill me with confidence
  10. Seen them jump out trying to spawn eggs before. Decent fish that. May as well eat it imo
  11. Just bought an SNR from Eurocarparts, £33 with a discount code. Not fitted it yet though.
  12. Think i might try this on mine. Feels loose and clunks. Has done about 230000miles now. Is it possible to do it without removing the rack?

    VR6 Twin fan

I'll dig it all out and get some pics, make me an offer as its just taking up room in the garage and i have no need for it. Would imagine postage might cost a fair bit as its all quite large and heavy. I had cleaned up the cowling with the intention of painting it, so its bare metal with slight surface rust.

    VR6 Twin fan

I have a complete setup i removed from my car when i switched to SPAL fans. I have been intending to list it all on ebay, Both fans, the cowling and the belt. All works but has covered about 220,000miles.
  15. Get some pics, always helps to see the issue. I ended up having to go to VW for my pump and it cost a ****load, wasn't even a VW pump they supplied just a KYB
  16. You used to be able to buy a whole corrado for that
  17. Looks solid enough. I noticed the other day that my vw replacement is starting to leak so going to be looking for a new one soon.
  18. Yeah, its normal, i have the same thing, am sure i also had it when i had aircon. I thought it was to do with adding the voltmeter VDO thing. Also what radiator is that?
  19. I know there are places in the US that sell kits to convert old beetles. ALso worth reading about that johnny bloke who used to be on 5th gear, he did an electric car and was links to companies that supplies motors and batteries, althought i think the car he did was already electric he just modernised it. https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/green-cars/jonny-smiths-flux-capacitor-goes-new-electric-speed-record https://hyperdriveinnovation.com/
  20. I find it a really hard job, just seems to hit the suspension turret. I managed it in the end, but to get the new one in i had to loosen all the black metal inside the car that the pedals fix to. (i was upgrading to the Teves20 stuff at the time)
  21. Have you taken the cover off the bottom near the sump? Might be able to fish it out from there
  22. I was meaning on the cylinder head gasket, i never put anything on inlet/exhaust gasket, they are fine as they are.
  23. On the recommendation of Vince at Stealth racing i used a bit of Stag Wellseal, he was raving on about it. But i didn't cover the entire surface, just one corner/side where its prone to leaking.
