I have both, used the beam once and didn't really get on with it. Did the job though. The good thing with with the beam is i can shut the garage leaving beam in place. Can't do that with the crane though.

In the UK we would just take it to a Halfords and they would fit a head unit and do the timing belt. I could phone them and pretend i wanted a quote.

They rub on the bonnet a bit, that's the only problem, i tried sticking a bit of foam to mine but its still worn paint away

Get my far cry tonight, so excited.

Looks lovely, you've taken the photos at all the right angles, i must practice my photo taking

Nice, I'll send you an invoice...

I bought one with genuine connectors but you still have to leave the originals unplugged and poke one wire into it. Think i paid about £85 for it years ago and its just sat in a box. I had planned to cut it up and extend the wiring so relays can be inside the car and run a new wire so don't have to plug into the original connectors
-
I'd ditch all the aftermarket stuff and try to reconnect/fix the original wiring. Should just be a case of joining the cut wires to the headlight connectors and plugging them into the headlights. I've never really like the aftermarket looms as the relays aren't protected from the damp and you have to leave the headlight connection unplugged with a wire poked into it.

I was thinking about you the other day  Was wondering how you are finding life without the corrado. Mine hardly gets used now and still always seem to have a niggle i want to fix but never get round to. Then start thinking there are other cars i'd like to own. BMW looks tidy, looks like a lot of paint to polish though...

After seeing mine removed i can't see how they are removed without damage
-
Check the wiring to the sensor. Mine had corroded and was giving strange readings
-
You may have connected the horn plug to the loom. On passenger side behind the headlight. Am sure the connectors are the same
-
Am sure you can buy them new from somewhere, as i replaced all mine recently
-
Am sure the temp one is smaller than the pressure ones
-
You can upgrade the whole system to a later one, involves changing pretty much everything to do with the braking system apart from the pedal though, so master cylinder, abs pump, ecu, wiring and the brake lines. Does do anything with the bias valve on the rear beam and the pumps are easier to source. i did mine but already had engine out, rear beam off and no interior, so wasn't too hard.

6 for £1.75 in Sainsburys, but that's chocolate chip Being serious though, we've had them fitted to vehicles/machinery at work in the past and they have never been any use when something got stolen, they must deactivate them somehow
-
Are you selling 3.0 pistons? Might be interested in those
-
There are actually two parts, the white clip and a clear grommet underneath, i was able to buy the white bits a few years back but the grommet was obsolete by then. Think i ended up sticking mine on with foam tape

Yes, i'd use a thicker oil. Am sure its meant to be 10w/40, whats the theory behind using a 0w?

As swiftkid said its just a wire -
How to check the fuel pressure regulator and coolant sensors? Hot starting
Jim Bowen replied to _Matt_'s topic in Engine Bay
They are all by the fusebox, might be worth just taking it out and giving it a clean or a wiggle  -

Mine used to do that, i changed the fuel pump relay which fixed it. But you never know with these cars if the same thing causes the same problems. -
I find that too, i seem to notice it more after driving a modern car so just assumed its what things were like in the 90's

I use the flat almost triangle shape section of floor that has a few holes in it, but always use a bit of wood about the size of a pack of cards to spread the load.
