  1. viewtopic.php?f=23&t=72885 there is a similar thread i made for the front 288mm conversion
  2. i made a whole thread about this, with part numbers, photos and prices. buying them new from VW costs something like £180 iirc you need different rear hoses they bolt onto the standard carrier and use the same slider bolts
  3. it could be the stretch on the cable, or the cable is threaded wrong, i think i fitted mine wrong the 1st time around and thats why it got stuck this time
  4. thanks :) i never had the lupo wipers so can't comment, but really impressed with the TT ones, they are awesome (i know its only wipers, but they were terrible before) the KW's seem great to me, very forgiving over bumps etc, plus they look very neat under the arch, (alot smaller diameter than normal shocks)
  5. i had this on mine, it passed after bleeding the brakes though not sure if that helps you?
  6. i only just gone higher  a trip to stealth will be arranged soon, and i'll ask them to get the front lower but not inverting the wishbones, probably about 5-10mm lower than it is now, then the back will be adjusted to suit that still handles funny :gag:
  7. my standard brakes weren't working very well at all before the 288's went on, so they a big improvement over them. i do find them better but nothing to shout about if i'm honest. They stop the car, but i still find alot of other standard/newer cars have much better brakes
  8. i went to VW dealers and ordered mine, the chap in there phoned up an Audi dealer and got it ordered
  9. couple of winter photos, am bored at work. also coilovers are fitted now, probably going to drop the suspension a little more though bought a new debadged grill too
  10. fair play, you got recaro's up front? i have :D wooooo!
  11. its not my rear bench btw, just one i found on google. although mine is equally as nice 8)
  12. can just about see it here, its just a hinge really
  13. ill try and chuck some of my info threads with pics and numbers in here. does the reward involve that Toad chap by any chance? :camp:
  14. the bracket is really simple iirc, just a few screws into the floor of the car or something?
  15. i found the 1st time around i must not of fitted mine properly, and then it stopped working. this time round i'm sure i've got it going through all the correct holes etc
  16. very impressive!!! Like you say will only look better once all pulled tight.
  17. bought one, didn't like it, couldn't get it to fit and look decent, so fixed up the old bit of plastic trim and sold the leather
  18. time to phone the RAC i think  fix that at the roadside
  19. easy peasy, really obvious once you taken them off and got it in your hand
  20. i got the cleaning bug when i got my corrado, bought loads and loads of products, now i have a routine worked out and i don't actually use too many polishes, cleaners, wax that i bought. i always use snow foam though, the idea is to prewash the car and get all the large particles of dirt and grit off, without rubbing it all over your paintwork. my tips for snow foam would be: -buy a decent foam gun 1st time round, don't try getting the cheaper ones first, you'll only end up buying the expensive one anway. -most snow foams are the same thing, i find the clear ones are best, also no need to mix in shampoo with it etc, just use the foam -you need a good pressure washer to get the most from the gun i wouldn't go replacing your products you already have just because of internet reviews. i've tried loads of different products and found what i think to be the best, but everyone seems to have different opinions.

  22. i think all the ends that fix to the brake pipes (hard) are the same, they should be a union joint as shown in your photo. i think its only the connection on the caliper that is different, i,e: banjo or screw
  23. awesome, i love stuff like this 8)
  24. i did mine, i think one of the threads above is of mine. i'd pay for a proper job if i'm honest, mine came out well but not 100% happy with them, the laquer finish is hard to get right. And it does end up costing quite a lot in primer, paint, sand paper, laquer, dremel bits etc
  25. whoops i get it, i thought solar was the make at first
