  2. Hi mate, thanks, its felt like a lifetime i've spent out in the garage  I get the coloured paint from here, they mix it up and post it out, seems to be the best match out of all the paints i've tried (i bought them from most places i could find to test them) http://www.autopaint-pro.co.uk/ Someone on here recommended this lacquer to me, wouldn't buy any other type now, its great stuff. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/282118666445?lpid=122&chn=ps&adgroupid=27377119746&rlsatarget=pla-181479839106&adtype=pla&poi=&googleloc=9044905&device=c&campaignid=620794543&crdt=0
  3. £1million car nowadays. Looking forward to some new pics.
  4. My 12v rebuild was good for 3000miles
  5. I bought some spare door pockets years ago, i was going to make some, but never got round to it. For some reason i have a thing against putting MDF in a car.
  6. I don't think the brake lines clip to the front subframe, they clip to the rear beam and there are two types as i bought the wrong one. Maybe thats what Chris is thinking?
  7. How many people bought this foglight? I paid for it months and months ago but never received it. No replies from declan
  8. Well it was my motor making the noise and a new one got rid of the noise, i seem to remember it wouldn't make the noise on all speeds, i took it out and cleaned it which stopped the noise for a short while and then it returned. I guess the fans strains a bit more when its in the housing instead of just spinning freely in mid air.
  9. It'll probably be owned by the council and they will try and charge you a fortune for it
  10. After some thought i've decided i'm going to take the engine back from stealth and just use the bottom end from another engine i have, so just swap a few bits over and chuck it back in the car. Will cost me nothing that way.
  11. Mine was doing the same, i took it apart and broke it so had to buy another one, was a non-genuine one and not too expensive, its been fine since. http://www.eurocarparts.com/heater-motor might be a promo code as well to make it even cheaper
  12. Do the lights need any sort of wiring loom?
  13. Looks like a terminal pin to me, whereabouts did it come from? not sure which one but you can get them here (maybe) http://www.vehicle-wiring-products.eu/section.php/206/1/terminals-to-fit-mouldings
  14. I'm going to take another engine up there soon so will probably take back the broken bottom end. I've not seen any of the damage myself.
  15. The weird thing is that it ran fine and really quiet for 3000miles, i did 3 oil and filter changes in that time and strictly followed the running in procedure.
  16. From reading online it seems to suggest you should be able to tell what caused it, i guess not many builders would really be too keen on admitting to a silly mistake. I don't really know what to think or do tbh, i just want an engine now.
  17. Thanks, 10yrs of practice  Not sure why but i've never used a bodyshop and seem to fear going to one.
  18. Are all the parts there and in the correct order? Should be a washer under the rubber and something on top so its sandwiched between them
  19. Same as mine, i'll try and find the receipt for the springs, i do remember they said Mk3 golf on them
  20. I did some more painting Sanded it back and added the primer Then hi-build primer Rubbed it down smooth Added the paint Lacquered Have now completed one side of car Still needs to be wetsanded and polished but i'll do that once car is complete
  21. What year and model corrado have you got?
  22. No6 i think. Mine definitely has the late no6 and no7 parts.
