mtc R32 - since everyone's gone pedantic, you may want to check out the 'bagless grill' in your sig too

...you mean that's not reading about 12 as well??? :)

given that the village my parents live in has become a bit of an Astra-chav speedway of recent and taking into account the above story... would it be evil if i popped round there and 'placed' a kerbstone in the middle of the road tonight???
-
...now that sounds like a good idea, but that's obviously what a previous owner of my C did to the rear ashtray and it's all flaked! it's now a kind of 'urban camoflage' grey/black combo :?
-
i was supposed to do it about 6 years ago, but fractured my wrist (at Tae Kwon Do... you deviants!!!) - my cousin took my booking a did it anyway and had great things to say about it. let us know how it goes as i might still give it a go sometime.

finally got to soldering in the new thermal fuse yesterday morning... didn't make a blind bit o' difference :x so off to Euro Car Parts i toddled and bought a new resistor pack for 20 notes... only thing is that the one i've been sold is only for a 4-pin power feed connection - missing the centre pin altogether... then it rained and i had to drive home with no de-misters :bad-words: one is not amused!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

...and exactly how on God's green earth does one end up in such a privileged position as to be 'invited' by VAG to witness such a spectacle??? is there some kind of well know european blood connection (note - trying to be PC about referring to a certain nationality) whereby the conversation ended with a line which involved liberal four letter words use, plus 'you' and 'wearing concrete boots'?????????? -

yup, it would seem a bit remiss of VW to try and push how good a new 1.4 could be when there are as Kev says the 'proper motors' that the sports coupe buying demographic would be looking for are piled high around them!! does anyone have a pic of the rear of the car, i've only seen the 'grinning' yellow front end... it's basically a giant smiley > > :D
-
hear, hear!! what kind of deviant monkey-funker would do such a thing... evil, pure unadulterated eeeeeeeeeeeeeevil!!! doth no one understand, the beemer driver is the ENEMY!! :2gunfire:

cheers mister... although having checked, the rocker arms appear to be intact... hmmm, the plot thickens?!?!?! :?:
-
cool, just sorting a similar problem on mine [except i have the more common only-works-on-4 fault]... stupid question tho - how does the facer plate come off of the heater control knobs, i started prising it a moment ago and cracked it???? :?
-
sorry to re-revive this thread again, but... the mechanism on my sunroof appears to be working fine, except that when i tried to operate the slide-roof it seems to be moving independently from the headliner section... the liner just got jammed half way and it took me 25mins of jiggin' the damned thing to get it to close again!! ...oh, and in the process left a 1.5inch score-line right in the middle of the trailing edge paintwork! has anyone had a similar problem? could it just be that whatever fastens the inner to the outer section has broken or something more serious?? ...i've got the FEAR that this is gonna mean a headlining out fix? :x
-
...stumbled upon this, the car might look better than it runs!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Xo5GY4kDXg

duh!! call the I.T. Helpdesk... if I shut down, restart and re-connect it all turns on and works like it should... :2gunfire: bl**dy 'puters!!!!

okay, so i'm spazzing somewhere... i can load a C up, choose a colour and get to the "let's change it screen"... but as soon as you select any of the options (styling/wheels etc) i get the menu header's but no drop-down with any options... what the fork?
-
cool thanks... had to admit i was thinking Oak Green too first off, but then i passed an Oak Mk2 GTi which got me wondering in the first place... Dark Green Metallic X5 LD6U 90 makes sense as car was on a 1990 plate nice colour... shame that the wheels look so small in those arches though - like they've been nicked from a Matchbox car!
-
spotted this car locally the other day... love the colour, but too much of a newbie to know what it is?? ...someone put me out of my misery please! (oh, and if someone can tell me the colour first too it'd be appreciated :) )
-
que? kev what is this... do you mean you have the album with the Aphex style electronica doodling from the Sprite ad? if yes, can you tell me who the hell it's by??? thanx! ...otherwise, aim - cold water music (works especially well when the sunroof jams! ), muse - black holes..., depeche mode - violator, afx - chosen lords and some band called landline, sent to me from NZ by my cuz. 8)
-
...washed the offside front corner with me tears after finding some mook has decided to jump on my bonnet last night
-
spot on mate, the oak green on a big bumper GTI always looked the nuts. i worked with a guy a couple of years ago who was planning to sell his and asked if i was interested... thought about it over a weekend and by the monday he'd been t-boned and written it off!
-
full wash and polish yesterday, (including all the glass and under the spoiler), hoovered the insides... all looked tip-top. got up this morning... it's been raining a blinder all night, now mud splashed all down the offside by the passing commuter traffic! :|

the only problem with the S2000 is that it's designed for munchkins... i went to test drive one and found that i needed the roof down 'a la Clarkson'... balls!
