  1. I agree - Think my heading may need adjusting, will see if I can do that.
  2. Eric - Honestly, no, a tad too far I thinks, was thinking of something much closer. (Just googgled it 97 miles from mine.) Yopu will be back in time for dinner !! :-) Miles - No you do not have to wash the car as lkong as you stay at least 1/2 mile back from mine !! :-) Could do the Cuttle Inn at Long Itchington. CV47 9QZ - between Southam and Coventry Also could do somewhere in Woodstock - about equal distances from Banbury. Shall we decide on numbers and their rough locations for final choice ? Unless you have other ideas you would like to put forward ? Others in the rough area - anyone coming out to play ? Or is timing too short ?
  3. Right, who is up for a get together this Saturday 6th October ? At the moment the weather looks to be dry. Fancy a meet up, and dinner ? Not sure where to suggest at the moment, am thinking where ever we choose they should be chance for a bit of a drive en route. What are general thoughts of those who would like to join in ?
  4. On the bonnet, you said no rust, what about stone chips ? Any chance of pics ? The door too, could be tempted......... Also - any chance you could get this to London at least.
  5. I know of someone who has never worked in a normal job and only ever busked. He manages to hold down a rented house, keep a wife and 4 children without ever claiming anything from the system. Although because he has never put anything in either, he won't get a State Pension even So, think in the right area, yes it does pay.
  6. Please sell the car as a whole and don't break it. It would take masses more time, than MOT and Taxing it etc and sure you would get the interest in a sale. Why not even try putting it up for sale - the whole car - that is. One has just sold on here with no tax or insurance. Surely you would rather your beloved car went to a good home................
  7. Does this mean you take your car to the fit Polish guys too ?? !!! :-) he he
  8. Now, this is a hard one, Polish, Albanian fit looking chaps hand washing my car in about 15- 20 minutes for a Fiver, or an hour to do it myself > Could teach them not to do swirls when washing, drying - seems a better way to go to me !!!! :-) But no, I have not taken it there yet, or washed it though !!! Think Jim should come and do it weekly - for laughing !!! :-)
  9. I was going to make some silly comment - Like - Yes, that's just for girls !!! - When I noted where you live........... Poole, Dorest - hardly the worst place in the UK for bad weather now is it ? !!! :-)
  10. Yeap !! They are very tempermental from my understanding. I am not often in touch with the people I know who did own them, will see if I can find out anything. Thinks you must do your homework though before committing to one.
  11. Daily here for 10 years, approx 12000 miles annually.
  12. I know the Input - It goes something like 'Don't buy one unless you have very big pockets'.
  13. Blimey, didn't even see the thread until now, they went quick. 2nd Dibs please, also VR6 Shield. Thanks
  14. I would be heart broken if this happened to me, but hopefully the news you get will be better than you are currently expecting. Have to say though - its you that matters, so good to hear you are OK. Fingers crossed for you.
  15. If you thought a Corrado was expensive to own, the TVR will make it seem very cheap. Have had several friends who have had TVR's. After selling due to the very high maintenance costs, they are always breaking down and spend more time in garages then being driven. Strangely they never gone back for a second try, unlike most Corrado folk. I say Hire one for when you want to drive one - considerably cheaper.
  16. Ark at you ? !! :-) Good thing though, that you know your stuff, will be more helpful toeveryone in the long run.
  17. Gallardo for me too, absolutely love them, best car out there for me - for proper Supercars anyway !
  18. Serioulsy ? 'Drove it away' with No MOT, TAX or Insurance ? Hope I don't meet him on the roads.
  19. I would have commented sooner, but I was away for the weekend directly after Jake had finished working on my car. As Jake said my car was in better order than he was expecting, in particular not as dirty, due to regularly cleaning it, he hardly got off any grim when using the clay bar. He used the lightest buffer, and the car is now just stunning smooth in touch. And, it has a mirror like image in which to see you own reflection, as you can see in his photographs the images of hedges, neighbours houses etc. Personally I would recommend Jake all day long, very impressed with his work and the result. Whilst Jake was cleaning all the outside, I gave all the leather, its hide treatment, really cleaned all the engine bay (which so many of you have been commenting on over the years !! - so it is finally considerably better !!!), reblacked all the rubber bits - again and polished the alloys - these are the recently refurbished ones, which I had never thought to polish previoulsy - Thanks Miles for that and also fitting the rubber seal around my aerial , plus your quality control !!!! One Very happy ME !!
