have often been tempted to see what these look like on a C.. post some photos as soon as you've got them on!! but yes, they'll fit no problem as I'm 99.5 % sure they're 5x100. there is a "tyre discussion thread" on here somewhere which will give u all the discussion you need on brands. I think the wheels are 6.5 x 16 though so 205/40/16 should be the biggest tyres you put on..

guess it is expensive but then if they're all going to be doing this with age then maybe a retrim is not that much more in comparison to maybe 3 replacement wheels?! plus it would potentially look a bit oem+ if you found something a bit different? oh and yes, the new (used) one that i put on this year is beginning to do it too!

i have some that i was going to sell actually.. also the dials that go round the heater controls if you have the late circular style, and some chrome inside door handles! let me know if you're interested!

Very short list..! 85D Renault 5 1.1 - 18th b'day present. 45hp of bouncing, rolling, understeering, childs pram :) 97P Pug 106 XS 1.6 - 5 years later. better, but never found any tyres that gave it any grip 95M Corrado VR6 - last year. great, but awaiting large amounts being spent on making it last a long, long time... :D

its not their money or car so thank them while politely reminding them that they'll be ignored!! you can easily get a "normal" lemon that costs you £500+ in bits every year for 3/4 years but as you say you're well past that now with yours, PLUS there is a plentiful supply of cheap spares on here that you wont necessarily get with other cars. :) logic says you have to keep it :D

i think it depends a bit on if your cars plate is "ugly" to start with! i think some letters and numbers go better together than others.. that said i actually quite like the original plate on my car but the dvla site kept calling me to spend money!! :lol:

especially given that you're in germany some weitec or kw v1 coilovers would do very nicely.. :) car looks very tasty btw.

he had it done but i think vince did most of the work from what i remember.. he was very happy with it though.. more recently i think vrtrickster did it himself?

you don't really want to alter your overall wheel+tyre diameter as it will screw up your speedo etc.. better off with the 205/40/16 tyres and decent suspension to make up for lack of squish..
