  1. agreed, proper nice guy, and lewis is the same of course. as to the results, tits... :(
  2. For anyone struggling to get hold of BBS items these days (seems a lot of suppliers have been having trouble), when I contacted them directly yesterday they referred me to PW Motorsport. Have just been on the phone to Philip there and it seems that he's picked up the relationship with BBS after their being in administration. Just bought some bits from him and said I'd let everyone know their details: P W Motorsport Ltd. Bryn Goleu Llandissilio PEMBROKESHIRE SA66 7SU UK Tel: 01437 563 793 E-mail: [email protected] http://www.pwmotorsport.com http://stores.ebay.co.uk/P-W-Motorsport ... 3aSTQQtZkm He's also on the forum as philip walker. Cheers, John
  3. Wouldn't you just get a new VW badge though ( On the Porsche topic, clearly there is a general connection to VW and, in particular, wheels have their own "identity" anyway so can carry their own branding more easily. You wouldn't see people putting another manufacturers badge anywhere on VW produced parts though? By contrast, Wolfsburg is only really going to have brand value and relevance for cars specifically produced there IMO.
  4. FK debadged grilles are £28 delivered from Rennsport atm if anyone's interested. Seems cheaper than everywhere else but maybe this is regularly available..??
  5. you should manage 8s with no additional work..
  6. Oh thats interesting to know about the oil temps Tom, mine seem to have crept up in the last few months even after a full service. Maybe water pump should be added to my very long list :? :)
  7. who gives a car like that away for free (6months tax =£99)????? :? good find graham but some people just defy understanding!!
  8. Midland VW. The piston rings gave way at 121k, smoke everywhere so had no choice. Had the following done for £1000 all in. Rehoned bores and new piston rings New conrod bearings New gaskets New valve guides and seals Head overhaul Decoked cylinderhead Internals cleaned and checked New oil and filter Took it back after 1000 miles for a check over too, had the oil replaced and everything checked etc. yorkshireone, bear in mind that this is a valver rebuild and therefore not as costly as what would be needed for your VR..
  9. if its a VR it should really be getting super anyway.. AIRC they are recommended for 98RON fuel. not that you should be getting your issues just from "normal" fuel though..
  10. i think that theres just a lot of supply... more and more are reaching the 100-150k mileage and people dont want to start spending preventative money (which is often 25-50% of the cars value) on them when they can put that towards an hp deal on something a lot newer. I know what you mean though, thought prices would be steady when i bought last year but i think they're at least 10% and in some cases 20% down since then.
  11. lol, hamster can barely see out of that porsche!! he's so small!
  12. Its about £300 Mic, and then the £500 that makes up the rest of the £750/800 that people charge for it is about 8 hours labour.
  13. that is really classy, very jealous..
  14. Congrats, sounds like you really impressed! Will keep that in mind for any betting on forum karting/track days that might get organised in the future!

    respray......

I guess Mystic Blue isn't on that site because it was AFAIK a one-off colour for the blue UK Storm model (unlike the classic(?) green which was available on other cars). Its up to you of course (and obviously would be none of their business :)), but because of that uniqueness, bear in mind that some people might get a bit sniffy about "trying to make a car look like a Storm"...
