never seen the whole thing get taken of and just be left. you normally either trim the rotting rubber bits and leave the hard plastic strips themselves, or take it all out and get the recess filled/smoothed and then painted over..

Mine was a 1.1 Renault 5 something, 45 bhp - top whack was 105mph down the hill to J3 on the M40! Loads of fun for a minute engine, understeered like mad but never dangerously once you knew to throw it in to the corner early enough :). Cost loads of money in ripoff repairs but sold it still hanging together at 145k miles! all i can say to that is :shock: :shock: :shock: I hope you have some feline lives in reserve!

sadly you're not allowed a plate from a year that is more recent than your car.. hence N is the latest standard layout plate you'll see, private or otherwise.

You're right, he did swerve weirdly before crossing the line - in the press conf he claimed he pulled up because he couldn't take the last chicane at full tilt because of marbles on his tyres from going off line. Anyway, whatever, i'm not his greatest fan as you can probably tell so fingers crossed for Lewis tomorrow! :D
