Yup (and I heard you the first time  ) The 2005 version doesn't even have the M6toll on it... :|

according to Amazon's reviews "while it is a very good mapping product, the maps themselves are woefully out of date." Any more suggestions?
-
dr_mat, depends what it's been used for... :|

Right, before everyone says "tom-tom" or "buy a PDA", read my question below carefully, 'cos I'll delete any answers like that! I've bought myself a little laptop for use in my car (it's about the size of a video cassette!) and I want to link it to my GPS tracker to have in car sat-nav... It's a full on Windows PC with 40GB HDD etc so Tom-tom won't run on it (as far as I understand) What I want is some software which will do the whole postcode to postcode sat-nav thing as well as showing me my real speed on the screen... However, what I also want is the ability to record what I'm doing around a track via GPS... speed, direction, laptimes etc... so I can work out where I'm going wrong and where I need to improve... 8) Anyone got any experience or knowledge of any software that would do this? :?

This is how the members gallery should be!

nice website... 8) ...just wish I could afford some of their cars... :( -
There's a guy selling these for £174 (buy it now) + £10 P&P on ebay at the moment... Do a search for DENSION and you'll find 'em... 8)

to be fair, the wipers weren't that bad when new... the mechanism just wears very quickly meaning that it can't put the correct pressure on the windscreen... Not a design flaw as such...
-
yup, the cotton reels appear to be the same... 8) I'm using late ones on an early car at the moment (due to having modified them to allow fitment of the oil cooler brackets I made for J-DUB) with no problems anyway! 8)
-
nope, but when you get the go ahead from the DVLA to swap the plate over, the post office should issue a new tax disk with your new plate on it on surrender of your old one and production of the re-registration document...
-
Do you mean the front Cotton reels that mount the sides of the bumper, or the iron work behind the bumper skin? The ironwork is identical on the front bumper be it early or late. The cotton reels are also identical, it's only the bumper skin that's different... ;) 8) No idea on the rear bumper... :|

dodgy window switch?
-
nope, don't think I've got any pet hates with my Corrado... 8) All of these little things give the car CHARACTER.... without it you'd just be driving a Japanese run of the mill car that would have sold 10 or 20 times as many units and be nothing special today as a result...

I'm pretty certain that there's a hole in the inside of the car in the foot well behind the carpet that you can get at the check straps through... It's a long while since I've done anything on a MKI though... :|

nah, as mat says, it's when a post is the first post on a page and is then deleted... the database can't take a page off so you get a "post not found" error... ;)
-
as daft as it sounds, have you checked that they've not nudged the dash lighting dimmer switch next to the lightswitch? :? Otherwise, check your fuses, sounds like one may have popped... ;)

yup, there's a blue wire with a white trace on it that's at the back of the stereo. This MUST NOT be connected or grounded else the spoiler will not work automatically.

Madjackal, agreed value insurance poilicies DO reflect the payout you should get from the insurance should the worst happen... that's the whole point of 'em... Standard policies are as you say though...
-
eep, the slam panel is VERY expensive... see if they'll repair that rather than replacing it... :|
-
Madjackal, sorry, wasn't a dig at you mate... 8)
-
Morning (again) Lippy... sorry if I scared you waving out of that shitroen berlingo van this morning on your way to work... 8)

chrishill, eye, fair point... The owner'll probably just crank up those two speakers when the bonnet's down to make people think he drives it!
-
yawn.... some guy has ripped off a pic someone did about 2 years ago and sent it into TopGear with a silly name...
-
hummm... a screen and pair of speakers under the bonnet too... is that so they can make it sound like a real engine... Bet that screen doesn't last long... TFTs really don't like high temps, and that one's directly over the exhaust manifold... :onfire:
