  1. can you not get it out with a reverse tap? I'd have thought that it'd come out pretty easily and in one piece judging by what's missing from that pic? Reminds me of why I only use Bosch plugs though... :|
  2. I can now join in this club too... 8)

    M3 Lights

...and some of us can spot that the wheels in question are 4 stud and won't fit on a certain mod-muppets VR6...
  4. NjA666, Contact Dubwhizz over on http://www.Dubforce.net about the sprayer... he's in Skipton and has just had one NICE job done on his Oettinger Golf G60 for a very reasonable cost... The guy's just set up on his own and is looking to get his name known and get some cash coming in... 8) Price wise, I've just paid £1300 for the bodywork on H-YYU to be sorted and fresh paint and laquer laying on... It's not the best job in the world, but this is a car I'm throwing 300+ miles a week at, so I don't see the point in spending much more on my daily driver at the moment... It still looks 1000% better than it did before though! 8)
  5. nice one mate... be good to see ya at E38... 8)
  6. looks very much like the pearl grey that mine is... 8)

    VR6 motor...

Can't you just use the VR6's management and put in a custom written chip? If not, how about a porsche turbo ECU + injector loom?

    M3 Lights

got both FK and In-pro lights on my 2 corrados... Simple trick is to get some clear silicone sealant and go over the join between the backs and the lenses as soon as you get them... they only need a VERY thin seal, but this stops any water getting in and stops 'em misting up... 8) Saying that, my smoked rears on H-YYU haven't had this done and still haven't misted up in the 6 months I've had 'em... 8)

    No 1st gear

To me it sounds like the cable/linkage has slipped slightly and so isn't moving over towards the 1st/reverse side of the mechanism properly, you need it setting up again... Your local VW specialist should be able to sort this out for you in under an hour... 8)
  12. Big-ted, nope, I'm seriously interested in those bits too... 8)
  13. fitted new rear numberplate as the old one finally bugged me enough to spend £17 at Halfords for a new one... tested Lambda sensor and reset up the tick over and timing.... runs a LOT smoother now and seems even faster...
  14. 163K on H-YYU and 252K on J-DUB (at the last correction calculation anyway)
  15. IIRC that's the VW type number for the car...
  16. MOT test = Ministry Of Transport test. It's not just an emissions test, it's a general road worthyness test to make sure that the cars on the roads aren't just death traps with bits that are likely to fall off and brakes that don't work... Swapping engines is a bit of an odd one in the eyes of the MOT test... they go off the age of the car as it is on the V5c owners document for what the emissions are allowed to be, so you can happily fit a newer (20valve turbo for example) engine to an older car without the cat and then tune it up a bit and still get it through the emissions test... however, you can't then use the fact that your car is producing a LOT less polution if you leave the cat on to help lower your road tax....  Welcome to The Forum... 8)
  17. Green M plater with M3 style rear lights in Congleton on the A34 on Monday afternoon... Looked nice... Was walking the dog so you wouldn't have spotted me... 8)
  18. :notworthy: nice to see someone use the system properly for the good of others and get a result! 8)
  19. Nice looking motor... for a mo' I thought it was mine!
  20. try here: http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/produc ... akers.html 8)
  21. Critical_Mass, MFA problem is a blown fuse or broken permanent live wire to the clocks... shouldn't be too difficult to find/fix it... 8)
  22. nah, they do just blow out every now and then, and I've never heard of one taking the thread with it... Beavis did this to Darren's Golf G60 (ex H100VW) the first time he borrowed it... It's the same part as on the K-Jet golfs of both 8V and 16V flavours and of the digifant Golf GTIs too so getting one from a scrap yard is pretty simple... 8)
  23. most major speaker manufacturers make 6x4 speakers for this kind of application... the only thing to be aware of in a Corrado is that the space for the magnet is slightly limited... Inifinity do some REALLY nice ones... 8)
