    Bargain?

agree... it looks a pile of poo..... if the opp wants to see what a 40K rado should look like sending round to me. the car looks like it's had a hard life.
  3. http://www.the-corrado.net/showthread.php?56755-What-would-the-interest-be-in-new-late-headlight-switches-Pricing-Update/page7 http://www.the-corrado.net/showthread.php?56755-What-would-the-interest-be-in-new-late-headlight-switches-Pricing-Update/page4 pictures and details here on pages 7 & 4.
  4. cheap on ebay at the moment from the dealer in Worthing :) 43quid + postage....I bought a few sets.
  5. how about chucking a full tank of fuel in too :)
  6. no driving for 6 weeks + either :( roll on summer.
  7. nice bikes guys..... but do be careful out, it's still not good.... just fallen off down a trail and broken my elbow in 2 places..... my brand new cube don't look too healthy either......
  8. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?40893-Mk4-Golf-Rear-Calipers-Upgrade-Re-Parts some info above..... new calipers are about £150 each from VW now... go secondhand route or buy from vwspares. Unless your feeling rich :)
  9. you need to press the shells of the bearings into the new disc. one on the front of the disk one on the rear. with the right sized socket you should be able to tap them in. really not worth using the old bearings, just buy new from VW. you may need new ABS rotors too which attach to the rear of the disk.
  10. Mine's done this too..... if you have standard rear calipers. it's normally the handbrake release mechanism on the caliper fails to release. frankly the standard rear calipers on a vr are carp..... most people change them to mk4 golf.
  11. I've got an elite like this one. http://www.tweekscycles.com/Product.do?method=view&n=3327&p=307727&c=215&utm_source=Google&utm_medium=Base&utm_campaign=Turbo%20Trainers&gclid=CJuHoIDs_LQCFSbMtAodllkArQ It's got the softer roller, saves a bit of wear on the tyres and quieter. I also use a block at the front to steady the front wheel. Don't forget to wear your crash hat :) Quite simple to use. plug the ipod in and go..... but I'd rather be out in the fresh air. if your serious you can buy special tyres with a harder centre band.
  12. Yes It's citygate..... give them a call they may be able to help.... I bought a brand new polo off them last week. So a dealership is still there.
  13. sorry no pixs howerver a standard vr of 95 vintage should have three silencers....... not including the CAT. you should have a CAT then a pencil silencer joining to the mid section then the back box. the mid section and back box are a complete section which goes over the top of the rear beam. I've put a split in between the two rear boxes on mine so it was easier to fit and joined them with a sleeve. not VAG but gives you an idea of what your looking at..... mid section and back box..... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/EXVW9000-VW-CORRADO-2-9-VR6-9-92-6-95-Exhaust-Box-Tail-Pipe-/300633729383?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3ACorrado&hash=item45ff2aa967 which is joined to a pencil silencer like this one's shape.... but the two ends are smaller in length http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Corrado-exhaust-middle-box-silencer-1989-1992-Coupe-/400383355480?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3ACorrado&hash=item5d38b52a58 then it's joined to your cat.
  14. errr yes.... just picked my new car up from the vw dealer... it's was fun getting home...... she's candy white.... so now called snowy :)
  15. from memory it's just over 5 litres but not 6 litres... standard VR engine quantum synta semi synth... 10w40. vwspares sell it. http://www.vwspares.co.uk/corrado_filters.php I've used Castrol gtx in the past when it was on offer at asda :) but I don't do too many miles in my car between oil changes. it was back on offer at asda last week 4litres @ £12
  16. I got a few more MPG out of my push bike last week :) top end speed is struggling after xmas though.
  17. Interesting stuff.... I'm just about to do the mk4 rear conversion...... do the orig vr handbrake cables work with the mk4 calliper's or are they the wrong length then ???? I assume the cylindrical cable end fits into the calliper handbrake lever but ideally needs a ball end.
  18. Mines called corrie :) Although I was calling her something less tasteful today when I had the rear brakes apart. :(
  19. any good or negative vibes about the company..... I'm after something on their web page which has an 8 week delivery time from Germany...... don't normally like ordering stuff from a company that doesn't actually have the part in stock themselves. especially when it has a value of over a few hundred quid. thanks......
  20. I'll dangle a carrot :) and NO I'M not Selling..... one owner 41K on the clock. Sorry it's not mint but Aqua Blue LC5U
  21. I guess i'd better join in the new year too then :) not been a member since 1998- 2000 ish :( I guess that far back I cant get my orig membership number back :)
  22. can you get to the head with a junior hacksaw without damaging bodywork ???? I managed to put small straight cuts in the heads of a couple of mine "carefully".... which meant I could use a flat head screwdriver to remove them..... replace with stainless when you have removed them. or as above carefully drill them out.
  23. the one james martin was driving last night on motor racing legends was rather tasty :)
  24. J848 SDP my first rado..... 1.8 16v in blue with recaro interior.... and momo arrow sport 17" rims sold it in 1997 with roughly 40K on the clock for £7500 ish think it went to the Wembley area
