As title really... looking for a modern head unit. however it must look like it's from the mid 90's and have green illuminations.... not too fussed about Ipod connection, but it must play cd's and have a tuner, amd be about 45w. My prefered choice would be a low ish spec Alpine. however i think it makes the dash look too modern. what does the panel think ??? any other option's

err... maybe use the thing.... but it will need a good service first..... as it's sat in the garage for the last 10 years.....

My VR has the standard laserline alarm and imob on the car..... I'm after a spare zapper for it. I see i can buy a new one similar to this off ebay, mine is V1. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LASERLINE-GREEN-LED-REMOTE-KEY-FOB-T101-18-T101V1-T101V2-/300632869145?pt=UK_Car_Accessories_Safety_Security&hash=item45ff1d8919 It suggests it's easy to re-program a zapper... but has anyone got any advice on how to do it, and wheather it's possible to do at home without any additional assistance.... I will want the new zapper to turn the alarm off/on and operate the central locking and fuel cap. thanks for any advice

nice motor and nice place to Live ! I spend a few month on the island every year in the summer. (on my boat in the marina). I've only ever seen a few rado's in the north of the island (Vale area round by the golf course)... and a silver one parked in St P.

can anyone tell me if the VW mats fit both late and early cars.... I assume the foot wells aren't a different shape. also do the new embroded corrado logo mats have a sensible material on the rear... my corrado mats with the printed logo are foamed backed and the foam has disintigrated... not the best material to use !

my spare walker exhaust measures 600mm long not 650mm.... so check the length again. unless you can get away with the extra 50mm could be a bit of a squeeze ? out of interest how much have you been quoted for the pipe ?

can you help ??? I have this sticker that I put in my glove box maybe 10 years ago, which has come off some part of the interior.... it's lost it's sticky but i think it's time that i stuck it back on in the right place :) I'm guessing it's come from the dashboard area as it suggests RHD, but i have no clue now after 10 years.... it's a rectangular sticker with the following on.... 13798 00878212 29/01/96 Part number:- 030489 /1 GRUPPO EVAP.VW GOLF3 RHD-R134 thanks for any info....

my rado's been stored in a garage and SORN for the last 8 ish years.... as long as it's not costing you too much and you don't need the cash for another motor i'd say do it...... With Sorn you just get a letter from the DVLA every year, asking if you want to tax it or you have to make another years decleration of SORN. Most insurance companies if your straight with them wont insure it on a standard policy without a MOT and tax so you may want to have a laid/ layed up policy..... anything from £40 - £100 a year. which basically covers you for accidental damage / fire / zero mileage / and trailer insurance. mine's just sitting in the garage with the hand brake off, chocked and in gear...... I'm not worried about tyres and battery condition other than charging every so often as when she see's day light again both will be service items which i will change... my cars covered as you be surprised the damage that happens when people just brush past the car on a regular basis.

not a bargain anymore..... hope you kit turns up at the correct price..... whilst doing a bit of google on the company before I purchased at 5.41.... they put the price up....
-
Must be the one of the lowest mileage corrado's???
delfinis38 replied to axcel01uk's topic in General Car Chat

none of mine are perfect ! from memory one has a manufacturing problem on one of the rear speedlines. and the other one has wonky silver bump strips down the side. but i guess your a perfectionist like me, every detail has to be spot on :)

great stuff i had the last couple from a toy shop in weymouth last year... £26 each. one for best and one to play with on my desk :) I've not mastered the VR grumble yet :)
-
admiral refused to insure mine last may as it had no tax ! I had to put it on a laid up policy. however I'd been insuring it like this through them for the previous few years.
