the only rust on mine is on the original zorst and calipers due to lack of use..... :) and my dashboard rattles even with a few bits of foam wedged in.... mines done C. 36K from new... on a different note in general.... i do like these post that criticise the values of our cars.... it's one reason the corrado value has hit rock bottom and stayed their.

sadly not in 205 as i'd buy some. event tyres are doing some good deals recently..... i bought a couple of mitch for the audi last month and got £60 in sainsburys vouchers back.... looks like this month it's dunlop and goodyear £40 tesco fuel / food voucher with the purchace.

mines like this..... so long as the MOT is valied.... no matter how many days are remaining you can tax the vehicle. tax it online. have you ever heard of the govenmnet refusing to take your money :)

does it have a VW part number on the rear.

If it's a tidy car with fulll documentatation I'd say about 6K, but that would be mint with no bodywork issues and every thing working. your only problem is it's in jersey and you've got to get people to look at it. My Vr is similar spec with leather and airco with 10K less on the clock. the above figure seems to fit but i guess it all depends if your buying or selling :)

totally agree with you. it's a bit of a grey area. but as my post above be very careful.... it's fine until it goes pear shaped, there are strick rules about taking cash even for running costs. do check your insurance first. best of luck with getting your CPL.

great idea.... but be careful on the legal aspect of taking money.... don't know the legality of it from a flying point of view. but as a yacht owner doing the similar thing turns the whole thing into a charter, which is a whole new ball game from an insurance / safety point of view. I quite often borrow a mates boat in spain this can only be done as a good will and no money can pass hands, if i take people out in this country i will only except a meal or lunch being paid for anything more turns into a commercial venture. good luck with the flying.

I'm going back to mallorca in a few days. the flights are silly money... 3 times more than i paid in may this year ! But anything to get away from this uk summer ! I've been told holidays will stay expensive into september this year as lots of people have had no leave for work commitements during the olympics.

i'm err 37..... bought my vr new from the dealer 16 years ago... done less than 40K miles in it since.

Wanted a battery clamp / bracket for a VR. So I can secure my new battery down. (the bit at the bottom of the battery near the pass headlight) Mines currently held in by a large washer. What you got before I fabricate something.

What should the VR Battery clamp look like ???? I seem to be missing the correct part ! Anyone ordered from their website ???? I'm looking for a battery for the VR.. My first port of call was eurocarparts as at xmas they had a promo of 20% off but sadly not now. however i came across the above website and you can buy the same battery with 20% off... and free delivery the website also looks identical to the euro car parts, is it the same company.... Any other suggestions for a bargain battery at present......

if you really want to do it buy a spare bumper..... personally i don't like the look.

last week i took 4 batteries from my boat down to my local scrap dealer. thet gave me 35p / kilo worked out to be £25 ish. but to be honest the hassel involved waswnt worth it. you have to fill loads of forms in and they take your car details reg plate etc. all gets filled away just incase you've stollen the stuff. at a guess the cat on it own is not worth much.

I know all about loosing the luv for the 'C' Feeling. Have owned rado's since 1992. last one i bought new in 1996. it's only done 40K been garaged since new and sat in my garage for the last 8 year's doing nothing.. no tax no mot and insured on a laidup policy :(... too many other interests.... before anyone says something No it's not for sale.... it's staying until she dies.....

on my 95/96 VR6 which i bought new from the dealer. At a quick glance, I've only got the top 2 stickers (as show in the ebay advert). I also have a green divina (aircon sticker). and a black small sticker which shows a picture of a dipped headlight with something like 1.2% next to it. no stickers on the underneath of the bonnet.
