Nice... Standard is the way to go... None off this tinckering stuff.

I've got a halfords all season in medium... Fits the rado like a glove. Has straps that go underneath. Very pleased with it but can't comment on durability for outside use.. My rado is kept in the garage.

Small up date.. Tag watch purchased yesterday... Very pleased came in nice box and bag covered in silver star sprinkles. Even more pleased that I managed to haggle £450 of the asking price. Bad news is the Mrs spotted all the gold and diamonds in the shop.

I will be there but at the boat show. -
How's your little project coming on ?

Is there not a drain plug on a valver like the VR. Easier than cutting your hands up to remove the rad hoses.

Had a few busy days trying watches on. Don't think I've drunk so much coffee in watch shops in my life. Found some really nice watch's some I guess I would never wear and would have no function to me in life as I would just look at in a box due to the price. I've come to the conclusion that round about. 1.6k is the budget for practicality and functionality. I'm not a fan of chain linked straps and don't like big bulky faces that weigh loads. I know some of you are not a fan of TAG watches but this watch feels right. Even makes me want to keep looking at it and gives me a glow inside. And the price is right especially as I've found it 400 pounds of retail price. Cheaper than I found it tax free in gibrater. Which was a consideration to fly out to for a short break. Any comments...... Servicing seems a standard rate of £270 and battery change £85 2 years warrantee.

Cheers jim will have a look. Not a fan of a linked straps but that omega looks nice.

Been trying watches on.. Found a tag I really like... Is it a bum move spending this much on a tag.. Any other suggestion similar to this http://www.swisswatchesdirect.co.uk/watch/car2a80.fc6237_tag_heuer_mens_watches_carrera_chronograph_racing?gclid=COKnzseA_cICFW3ItAodqCUAnQ

Advise - problem with lock-up garage, letting agents evasive..

hope you get it sorted jim..... I had an accident with our double garage door a few years ago.... it was a heavy wood up and over affair about 30 years old that got used daily, kept putting off replacing it..... until one day whilst the garage door was open one of the pins holding the spring decided to sheer. garage door collapsed onto 2 cars and a spring under tension smacked the side panel. -
Just top it up with some distilled water or iron water.... As long as your not putting too much in it won't change the concentration much... Do it when cold as the cap will be under pressure. When the cars running expect the fluid level to be above the max... 7 years is about right for a battery. Before the mods say anything... Your not a newbie anymore... Post in other catagories

I thought that until I bought my vr.... I spotted a nice storm yesterday in practical classics magazine... Looked genuine and tidy with 101k on the clock. Chap was looking for 4k had rac badges on front grill so must of been owned by an old fart.

RE- rear.... have a look here http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=40893 from memory the discs pads and carriers are the same. you just change the calliper and flexi. this Is a good source of spares... http://www.vwspares.co.uk/

if you thinking of changing the rear brakes a good mod is to change them for mk4 golf. the rear original callipers on corrado are quite rubbish. they are prown to seizing and the hand brake mechanism is rubbish too. its been known to roll down a hill with the handbrake on.... you do need to change rear flexis if you go for mk4 calipers they are banjo. 75 % of the time I leave my handbrake off and leave the car in gear. that's how much faith I have in original calipers, think they are the same item they put on mk1 gti's keep asking question, we don't mind.

Spotted that rob thanks.

Thanks all. You guys have some really nice watches... Looks like my budget is going to be stretched to good used corrado prices.... Will report back... But I guess it's not the time to buy at the moment... Too many xmas shoppers at the weekend. N3p's watch is rather sexy. :)

Factory fitted alarm - additional remote fobs?
delfinis38 replied to Chuggs1's topic in Newbies Hangout
What's the alarm they originally cam with Laserline or scorpion. I've never managed to get one for my Laserline their easy to reprograme by flicking a few dip switches within the dash.. I came to the conclusion. That all the wiring must be at its end off life so not worth buying new remotes and bought a new modern alarm system. -
Sorry can't lookk at Ecp at moment site down... But they are what they call remanufactured. I bought a set as a spare pair while I had big red do me a set. You may be lucky to get two decent ones or like me one decent calliper and one rather rubbish calliper that obviously was off a different car calliper had been very rusty before it was remanufactured... All the writing had gone. Remanufactured calipers are shown by a drilled indent with a slot drill. One set had drilled holes for cooling wings the other didn't. Are fronts still obsolete at dealer and vwspares Edit answer to you question about Ecp it brake disc thickness.. Look at the technical data. Think you need 22mm vented. Not the smaller solid. For a late vr6 but not sure for a 1992 but do check.

Was thinking initally about 750 - 1250 but would stretch a bit for something special that floated my boat. Or on the other hand if there was something about 400 - 500 mark that tickled my fancy that would be fine.
