  1. Vauxhall Nova 1.3SR, D reg, paid £1100 as far as I remember. Loved it, had another couple of Nova’s and then moved into MK2 Astra GTE, mk3 Astra SRI etc
  2. I think you are lost, this is a car forum, not a spam factory
  3. I’m off on Friday, working on Saturday and Sunday mornings. I’ll no doubt get a bit of car tinkering done at some point, not holding my breath for it being very productive though
  4. Thank you again mate, where is T68/6? Swiftkid mentioned that as well? The back of the fuse box is a decidedly nasty place to be  If I can work out the T68/6 thing that might be the answer :) Incidentally, how are you adding pictures? edit: if T68/6 is pin 6 then it’s the same one we are talking about as I’ve got that there
  5. Magic, that helps a lot, thanks. I’ll still need to try and figure out if I need to do something with the black cut off wire in G1/3 or perhaps replace it with the yellow/blue one from pin 6?
  6. That would be great, I’m almost cross eyed trying to look at the plugs on the pictures. I had that ambient temperature sensor that you had, with the green wires so possibly a similar loom :)
  7. I’ve been looking again trying to puzzle this out On this link it shows that pin 38 on OBD2 isn’t there but is in OBD1? http://www.a2resource.com/electrical/management/motronicvr6aba.html Also, to make it more confusing, for me anyway:lol: , pin 6 is yellow/blue and operates fuel pump relay. This is the only plug on my loom unaccounted for. I have it in place with the single black plug on the end but can’t be sure there is anywhere to plug it into on the Corrado fuse box or nearby?
  8. Much appreciated mate, I’m in no mad rush, I’d just like to get it wrapped up and out the way, but with some confidence it’ll work when eventually fitted:)
  9. Ok, so I managed to get that link opened on my laptop, thank you again for the help mate. I’ve double checked again. On the Corrado loom, G1/3 goes to pin 38 on the ecu plug. When I look at the corresponding golf loom, on the ecu plug , number 38 is a blank. I removed this loom off a golf vr6 about 5-6 years ago. I never had it running, I guess the reason that wire was cut previous to me might have been for an alarm? Strange that I can’t find the other end of it though? De pinning it from the ecu plug seems a strange thing for someone to do
  10. Thanks mate, I can’t get that link to open. I’ll check again for that location on my ecu plug on the golf loom. I didn’t realise there are numbers on there:)
  11. Ok, so I checked the Corrado loom, the black wire is there, slightly thicker. I traced it back to the ecu plug, middle row, 8 along. On the golf loom, that space is blank on the ecu plug, so, would I be correct in thinking that I’ve nothing to worry about as whatever it is, it’ll be getting its power elsewhere?
  12. Revival of this old thread. I’m in the process of doing my loom. Can’t test it as there is no engine in the car at the moment. I’ve got a couple of questions that I’m hoping will perhaps get answers. I’ve got the loom almost ready I think. I’ve extended the 2 wires for the aux water pump, using the Corrado plug I’ve extended the purple/white wire also using the Corrado plug I’ve extended the grey/white wire again using the Corrado plug I removed everything that wasn’t on the Corrado loom, wasn’t fun but I had them laid out side by side so I was sure what could stay and go. I’m left with 2 thin wires going to the ecu, one green the other green/white. I’ve trimmed them down but I’m reluctant to remove them in case I need them? Any thoughts? The other, and more worrying issue I seem to have is a spare black wire, coming out of G1 plug, position 3, it’s only short and not connected to anything? I’ve read this relates to ‘ECU fuel pump relay turn on’ which sounds fairly important? It was already cut on the loom and I can’t see another end? The only wire/plug unaccounted for is a yellow/black with a black plug? Photos would help but without Tapatalk I’m stuck Thanks in advance:)
  13. Best to say where you are as it’ll help your chances of finding someone local
  14. Yes mate, still doing them. I’d try to get the trumpet screw loose as you’ll need it anyway, unless you’ve got a replacement?
  15. The engine bay side of the brake pedal
  16. It really depends on how good the tinting job is as they won’t be like that from the factory. Are they painted or do they have a film overlay?
  17. Fairly sure the light up gear knob is a Reiger one
  18. I wouldn’t mind a set for front and back mate, happy to pay something as I think you might get a few requests:)
  19. Well done, definitely keep the pictures and updates coming, I’m trying to do mine as well, I’ve been at it forever it seems but immin no real rush, plus life keeps getting in the way :)
  20. I have this car, as far as I’m aware, the fire broke out at the heater fan, it’s certainly the most melted part. The fire went all the way behind the dash as it’s quite warped. Electrical fire, so disconnection of the battery seems the sensible thing to try to do, which is easy to say after the event
  21. I found one bulb that was a spare from my original swap, it has a clear bulb with a blue base, and it lights up blue when you introduce power
