Ha ha, not the storm mate, this is the 16v I picked up for a song a few months back. It's going to be the daily until the red VR is ready, then the storm will go in for paint, which will force me to get the twilight VR out of the garage  .......plus the breaker VR :)
-
It's been a bit quiet for a while, dark nights and cold/wet weather isn't the best for driveway tinkering . However, I have been fiddling about with the 16v a bit recently, I changed both fuel pumps over(thanks fuzzer)also had to change the accumulator and the 2 fuel pipes in that area, new filter as well. Which resulted in the car firing up for the first time in my ownership, had a small fuel leak though so I had to stop at that point. I then decided that as it needs an MOT anyway I would pop it off to the garage I use and let the guys there do the brakes/handbrake cables/fuel leak/full service and oil/brake fluid/coolant change. Popped in today to see how it is getting on, they are just doing it when they have a quiet moment, they all commented on how solid it is underneath:)

Good to have you back mate 8)

Fairly straightforward job, remove the trunking from the throttle body, take care to take off the 2 small vacuum pipes underneath it(remember to put them back on after) then remove throttle body, you'll need to unclip the accelerator cable, then the potentiometer is on the TB and it's just a swap over, then a reversal to reassemble. Have you checked the ISV(idle speed valve) as it's got a fair bit to do with the idle The above is from my distant memory btw so hopefully it's accurate. Maybe let people know where you are as well as someone local might advise/help

Have a look here mate http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?92537-Storm-grey-VR6-Sold/page27&highlight=Compensator

Yes, without any bids you can end the auction without penalty
-
It wasn't due to finish for a few days yet. My guess is it finished early because he took an offer on it

I was part of the Facebook thread, had a couple of messages back and forward from the seller.I don't blame him for his approach as there were plenty of people telling him he had the rarest interior in corrado history, which it arguably is. I very nearly took the plunge but there was going to be a decent courier bill. Plus if I was to buy it I'd like to see it beforehand and ideally remove it myself as we all know how easily bits can get broken, especially the rear cards. And what to do with it once you have it, I'd likely just look at it on occasion:lol:

And a happy be year to you too mate, and everyone else :) I need a bit of everything you described:lol:
-
Understand mate :)

I'd like the fog and indicator and would be happy to pay for them, I'd like to say I'd have it all but the postage would likely be very expensive

Thanks Jim, here is a link to the for sale thread if you don't buy Graphite's :) http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?94884-Bonnet-release-cables

Another shout out for Chris lilfuzzer, a true gent 8)
-
Ah, didn't even spot that......glad I've already got a set as I could have easily been caught out there :)
-
Could also be the actuator for the fuel flap lock or the tailgate one causing the vacuum pump to keep running on, both in the general area you speak of but as Jim says the sound is likely the pump, just to figure out why now......good luck :)
