What golf did you take it from pete? Only asking as I have an old wreck of a 97 golf vr6 lying round my back and if its a straight swap I might remove the motor before scrapping it :)

Rare/Sought After/Desirable Corrado parts - What Ya Got?
easypops replied to Jamie's topic in General Car Chat
Front VR6 badges in silver and red, not perfect but not too bad. Various spare indicators/fogs, some in very good condition. Spare headlights. New rear VR6 badge (silver) . Spare foglight glass x2 (not sure they are that rare though) . Rhs spare seat bolster(from a passenger seat) . Fuse cover clips, not sure how many though? And possibly more but there are boxes in the garage that have stuff I can't even remember buying  Spare, fully operational heater controls(late) Pair of parcel shelf rubbers -
That's a shocking price, I got my old alarm/imob removed, a Toad AI606 supplied and fitted all for £250.....a couple of years ago but not that long ago. Fairly sure your imob will be only tied into ignition and fuel electrics. You'd have possibly seen them while doing your ignition switch? Find the box and follow the wires, you'll soon see where they are spliced in, take lots of pics, then remove......if it doesn't help, you can put it back the way it was.....and it's free :)

My old valver only let me down once......coil died. Not saying that's your issue, but possibly worth checking? Not that I know how to check it. Anyone close enough to swap for a check?

Baby blue, but I quite like it :)

No wonder you are smiling :) ........crazy price I'd say, not your fault though ........... And I've got both red and silver front badges. Not for sale though

Try reading it backwards
