Any ideas on a rough price? Also would you be doing the shorter U.S. spec one? -
Thermo time sensor and or 5th injector part numbers?
easypops replied to Big_Al's topic in Engine Bay
I had a faulty 5th injector(diagnosed by a vw specialist garage) and their advice, rather than waste money, just unplug it and you'll have no further issues with it. Which I did and they were correct. I ran it unplugged for 4ish years, no stress. -
It's only 6years old

Someone crashed into my Corrado, while it was parked outside a friends house(fitting his flooring), luckily enough it was one of his neighbours and they came to the door. Damage was a lot less than yours, front wing and bumper scuffed, wing slightly dented. Once I had calmed down I gave them my details Within 2 hours his insurance company was on my phone. I was given 3 choices, £1200 and its written off, £1000 and its written off but I get to keep it (cat D?) or £800 and not written off. I took option C and the money was in my account later that afternoon :)

Welcome along mate :)

You'll need to wait until someone with proper knowledge looks in as I can't answer that . Good luck :)

Fairly sure it's a low oil indicator?, usually comes on if your level is low and you go round a corner, pushing oil to one side. Check your oil :)

Nice one, bought, another thing to add to the list

Agreed, love these wheels.............. Which is why I have them on mine 8)

Unplug the 5th injector, my old valves had a faulty one and it constantly gave out fuel. I ran it unplugged for 4+ years with no ill effects

I have a updated loom I bought years ago, but as usual never got round to fitting it. I think I got it from eBay, but could of been on here? I don't have any installation instructions but it looks fairly straightforward (famous last words) I have 4 questions 1. The 4 spade fittings go where? Are they connected to the 2 plugs behind the passenger side headlight? 2. There is a wire that seems spare at the drivers side plug, it seems to be the grey one , which the wiki says is the sidelight one? Does it plug into the sidelight? If so where is the passenger side equivilent? 3. What do I do with the original plugs? Just leave them loose? 4. Does the lead with the fuses go to the + side of battery?

I solved a long time misfire by re seating the leads, the middle at the back wasn't properly on the plug, it's not that easy to locate as its down a hole . Instant fix, free as well, also read about someone else fixing same problem this way
