What is the torque settings for the front damper to hub and and the lower rear damper to axle bolts? I have left my Haynes back aat my flat.

Sorry mate but the New Ibiza just doesnt look right too me. Its like there is too much metal between the rear wheels and rear side window.

Everybody will say k&n (like I did above) but I rhink there was a debate about how good they actually are.

You dont get one as far as I am aware. Just get a k&n panel filter and drill the lower corner of the airbox on the wind side if you want some induction noise.

Reminds me of a lovely jazz blue Mk3 that was in Performance VW a few years back. It was a twin turbo and had the Porsche dogleg wheels but looked really standard.

Ive had a Mk3 VR before and it was great apart from the stodgy handling. The car had a kit already fitted so thats not a problem. What do you reckon on trade in against a £3k car? I was thinking at least £1500.

I may be trading the C in for a Mk3 and I was wondering if traders take afair bit off if there is very little service history with the car? The car was bought new by an old gent who had the car serviced by a small local garage (who dont have records but remember the car) then passed onto a guy I know who only used it for a year before getting a drink ban after which it sat for 3 years before I got the car. I have recipets for work he got done and I have recipets for all the things I have bought for the car (including service items and cambelt change 5k miles ago). Would it turn you off?

Might be looking at a VR with 63k miles on the engine. Is there anything that should have or will soon need replaced that I may have to figure into the price? I have read all the posts about the cam chains so I know they should be fine for another 40k or so. Its a 97 Mk3 Golf by the way (sorry :oops: )

Got a bike for going mental. Unfortunatly the car only gets a good blast now and again plus I only have a 16v so I dont have to worry about slowing down from high speeds.

Unless you are going to be using it on the track OE disks and pads are perfectly ok.

Unfortunately I think I may be selling the C as I have been told that due to getting a car allowance from my work I should really have a newer more sensilbe car. To be fair it is not the best car to be taking customers out in either (not that I do that too often). I am therefore thinking of getting a Mk3 Golf VR6 or 16v. I going to be a bit lazy and probably try to trade the car in but what sort of trade price do you think I would get against a £3000-£4000 Mk3? Car is a 93L 2l 16v in silver. Reasonable condition with 89kmiles and is standard apart from lowered suspension. The car will be sold with new front brakes and newish dampers/springs. 12months MOT/6months tax

Just imagine if you hit it whilst on a motorbike. Its a fecking disgrace that they know about this but prefer to pay out. All the money in the world isnt going to bring someones life back. Morbid I know but this has happened before.

I dont think that front looks right with the small spoiler. Mines rubs a little too much at the moment so the car sill be getting raised a bit.
