Maybe why the spacers are there. Theres nowt wrong with spacers if used properly.

What width are they? Should be fine but the wheels will sit further in the arches. No probs with spacers as long as you use the longer bolts.

Mike, to start with the VR sounds pretty good with a induction cone filter but it soon gets a bit OTT for everyday use. Ive had two VR's and fitted a filter but kept taking them off then putting them back on. I would never ever pay full price for a filter. Decided that the modded airbox is good enough for me.

What about these new K&N apollo kits etc? The filter is enclosed in a heat resistant cone and the cold air feed comes out the front.

I currently run a standard airbox with K&N panel filter however I was looking into placing a filter in the wing type deal. However I am debating if it is really worth spending money on. Does anybody have a before and after RR report to prove they work? TBH I dont think the cost per bhp/torque increase is justified for these kits.

Do not spend that much on a set of wheels. Thats just daft. They dont make the car handle any better or any go faster so I would save your money or use it on go faster/handling parts.

Yeah. Halfords VW Diamond Black metallic. Not a complete match but the car is dirty there so they do look the same. They are probably the 6th set of wheels I have done myself so I am getting better. When you spray the lacquer I make sure it goes on so that there is a good deep layer and it is almost at the point where runs might start. Its tricky but it does give surprisingly good results. Only cost £20 all in as well.

Swaped the 16" wheels for some Solitudes with a local guy and painted them black this weekend. Got rid of the crytal indicators as I preferred the originals. Deeper front spoiler as well. I am loving the way it looks right now but its just not the same as the C.

I read about this on a biking forum and apparently its not fake. Happened in Finland or somewhere similar. It has been set up slightly worse but most of the bike did end up in the car. As you can imagine both the driver and rider were wiped out.

You could easily use spacers. They'll fit ok. Only thing is the tyres are not the correct size which will mean slightly reduced accl and your speedo will also be slightly out. I wouldnt worry about it though. If you are on a seriously low budget I would look on ebay and buy some solitudes (as per my sig) as there are some cheap ass sets on there right now.
