  1. Good to see a different engine build. Is this a KR block? Some serious power to be had from these.
  2. Very cool, Ive stood in that very position once watching a sqaudron take off when on an RAF intro course. Never joined.
  3. No they dont, had the same on the red VRT and never noticed it. Actually I probably take the wings and 90mm splitter as theres a bit of crust and large crack on mine.
  4. Lol, I did three trackdays and all were wet true to form with Knockhill. It went reasonably well to be honest.

  6. Thats ace, some neat ideas.
  7. Car is still sitting with half the interior and dash missing. Simply had zero time to look at it. Tried pretty much everything including a different ECU and still the same. Thanks, wheels sit perfectly on the car IMO. If I do decide to part with them I'll let you know.
  8. Wee vid of the my old VRT (Gar's) on a wet trackday. Around 1m 30sec in or something. I backed off as the guy in front pulled out in my way and a nice pop of flame. Was doing that all day apparently. Note boost was turned down due to conditions and Sub was a time attack thing. Yeah B5's price have not changed in the last few years. Probably getting harder to get a good one now though as a few have fallen into some hands that dont look after them. If you get a standard one budget on another £5kish to get it to a reliable 450-500bhp. FYI here is a comprison between my cam'd VR, the VRT and the RS all on the same dyno. Rs weighs a lot more but doesnt half haul ass. Would be nice to compare the two on the road at the same time, dont think there would be much in it in all honesty.
  9. Mine hasnt dropped in price in the 2.5 years Ive had it. B7 and B5 are very different machines. I honestly dont think I'll ever sell it. That ones okay but better tweaked examples out there. If I kept mine standard Id still only be looking at only having to replace rear springs, rear calipers and front discs in that time over 15k miles. They take abuse if you cool and spool properly and change oil every 5k. Thing is you dont want a standard one. They need around 480bhp to feel properly quick. Old VRT is very very tempting, let me know if you'd sell the wheels seperately.
  10. Lol, thats exactly what the RS is like to be honest. Little bit of lag but then boooom! Its doesnt sound too bad either.
  11. I keep thinking of going whole hog on the VR but Rs is still satisfying my turbo fix. If I were to do it would be self build as well or at least a built engine trasnplant.
  12. Fair enough. Berg cup corrado sounds ace. Heres the one thats been done, hope your Germans good - http://www.speedweek.com/bergrennen/news/27605/Oberhallau-2012-Part-12.html
  13. The best thing is it looks relatively standard compared to the splitterd and winged other cars. Going to start mucking about with aero?
  14. That does seem high with the Mocal. FYI tracking a standard car I was seeing 130ish, with the VRT + Mocal is was around 110 on track so they certainly work. Id bin it and go back to standard, get some nice new oil/filters and take it from there.
  15. Houses tend to appreciate though. Someone once said to me buy appreciating and rent depreciating.
  16. Ive got a spare ECU so I could swap them out and see what that does. At least as a process of elimination. I still think its alarm somehow. Thanks for the help.
  17. Come to Aberdeen guys, thats all there is!!
  18. Fuel gauge not working. Lights work as per normal i.e. full on when ignition is on. No communication from Vacgom, doesnt read anything.
  19. Cheers, Ive always liked these things. Need to figure out whats up with mine then might think about changing wheels.
  20. Does your car have the VR front suspension i.e. wider track?
  21. Thanks for that. Cant say Ive noticed regarding the gauge. Will check tonight.
