I would try slotted discs, are Tarox still on the go? I've heard Yellow are better for EBC but I changed from red to Mintex 1144's and they were far better. It's all relative to what you know so try them out then swap for different make so you can see what is good and what isn't. Remember the more aggressive the pad the quicker your discs will get worn and your wheels will get knackered with baked on dust. Need to get mine out again for a track day down there.

I know, I cannot wait. Think of the weird and wonderful things we will be able to do in the future on the cars. I could design my own wheels and change them every week, lol.

Get a new inlet 3d printed in unobtanium......

If I had time this is what Id be doing. After my previous one the boost is addictive but this time Id try keep it sensible around the 300bhp mark as that just keep everything a lot more reliable and its still a bloody quick car. Well done for tackling it yourself.

This was originally Stan24's car I think a long time ago. Check out the 24v engine thread. Regarding the brakes some good discs and DS2500 pads will probably be good enough, my 288's with these pads were fine for Knockhill. If you haven't already try and get some early brake ducts, they fit in behind front bumper and connect into front wheel well lining. Simple addition but certainly help get some fresh air in around the brakes. What cage is that?

What's the tyres like on the Speedlines?

Would agree with that, I on my 7th and after having a lot that were pre-modified I sought a completely original car so I knew what I was dealing with i.e. with no hidden issues.

Welcome, nice colour!

The issue is the cost to producers to get the oil out the ground has risen massively over the last 10 years especially in the North Sea. As you can imagine all the easy oil has been recovered and the oil that is left is in hard to recover ie more expensive. That and the use of contract staff on silly wages hasn't helped and in my opinion has created this bubble within oil and Gas workers. Costs have risen exponentionally rather than in line with inflation etc. It was not sustainable but the industry as a whole just get going along, it will recover but it's needs to adapt to be more reactive to things like this. Oil field service company Sclumberger axed 9000 jobs yesterday. There will be more to come for sure in the short term.

It's always good to try other cars. Just be sure you don't mind having to buy a different Corrado if you do come back. In relative terms they are cheap so if you change now you should be able to come back. I've tried the v8 thing and to be honest wasnt overwhelmed. A nice v6 is just as good IMO.

They are stock piling, in super tankers offshore!!! You cant really just shut in a well/platform, its it is designed to be continuously running so sometimes its better in long run to keep producing. Crude affects petrol prices but doesn't wholly dictate it. Gas is the next power generation fuel to meet CO2 targets and a lot of the new big projects are focusing on this i.e. Australia, Prelude. Price of oil affects many things, we notice it most on petrol as its something we use a lot of. I must reiterate I agree that nobody in this industry is special and deserves special treatment. All I ask is people don't think its a simple equation of oil producers opening or closing the taps as they see fit. Theres a lot more to it than that so don't all tar us with the same brush (theres a pun in there somewhere!). I cant see it recovering quickly anytime soon but it will get back up to near $100 again. Hell the best any of my cars does is 25mpg so Im a little bit happy about this.

Agree entirely regarding the operators, they are the ones to blame here as they have been paying silly amounts to contractors so for them the price to lift a barrel has shot up a fair bit in the last 7-8 years. Some are around $60 a barrel so at $50 to sell it shoes the issue. Its the knock on affect as in essence the operators only own platforms and plan the work. All work carried out on the rigs and onshore prep is by service companies and its these companies that will be hit hardest. The closer you are to the wellhead the less chance of loosing your job as they will still keep the rigs going, they just wont be drilling or recompleting new wells. I agree its the nature of the business and as said its good that some people up here will get a reality check but it totally sucks when there is a game going on and affects the more genuine working folks.

Looks good, small little touches make such a difference. Where did you get the LM reps? Audi wheels look nice as well.
