  1. Think he wants £375 for all 4 with tyres. No pics. Let me know if your interested.
  2. Local guy to me selling a set of 8's and 9's.
  3. Im out, car will probably be sold at some point in the spring I think.
  4. If your only looking for a few hundred for it as it is I would say you would easily get more breaking it. Saying that most of what you showed isn't too bad IMO and looks like minor corrosion. A proper polish might make it look better as well. Cant expect a sub £1000 car to have good paint. If someones looking for a daily car or track project I would say its a perfect.
  5. AP coils, probably down about 40mm. Thanks, it looks better than it is. Still thinking of selling after we have had a road trip in it soon.
  6. Not keen on Tag's. They always seem just a little bit OTT, like they have a really nice design but they cant help adding a few little bits to complicate it further.
  7. What offset are they? There was one of the guys that had a stealth turbo conversion had these wheels on his car.
  8. Looking good, plenty of great self resto threads at the moment making me a little guilty.
  9. Yes we are, getting all out the way at the same time.
  10. So car sat for a couple of months under a cover and I decided to give it a start. No battery and frost in the inside not good so decided to tax the car and use it rather than have it sitting. Taxed on the 1st but to busy picking up a puppy then so managed to give it a hurl today and take some photos. Fixed the heater cable and rattly window and alarm issue seems to have been fixed with new key fobs so that's cool. S4 is on getting chrome trim warpped in black so I will be using the C this week I think to give it a proper run. Hope you like, only wish I had a good camera.
  11. 205 on an 8in is fine, depends on tyre make as well as some are different. 205/50/15 will probably be best but at that ET I think the wheels will stick out too much.
  12. Looks like localised corrosion which only got worse. That's a bugger.
  13. My friend bought one about ten years ago. Engine out for spark plugs or something stupid like that. He had nothing but issues with it, it looked cool but that was about it. They either got very lucky with that one or didn't show up some issues. It looked ace on the OZ wheels.
  14. Long enough it seems. Done a few in the past funnily enough always in a Corrado. 1st was with a 1.8 16v then in the VR6T then a couple in the current standard VR. Std Corrados are fun on the track but not very quick but then its depends on which track. Any stop start stuff isn't good as the gearbox ratios are a bit crap Ive found. Still really fancy doing mine into more of a track car but cant be arsed with it then being too focused.
  15. Ah, maybe save up a little more then take a trip to Banbury then.
  16. Already have a circa 480bhp in the RS so might just go for stage 1 map TBH. Its a daily car so doesn't need silly power although mine is manual and has 2ndary cooler so should produce good power. I had some surface rust but as you say when sanded back it was okay, treat and paint and no issues.
  17. I used Pro15 sealant in the past. You get it in clear and just brush it on. Seems to work well. Note wear gloves and an old top when putting it on and the only way of getting it off skin is to literally sand it off as I found out.
  18. I think Corrado's hide their rust well. There will always be something lurking away on cars this old but you really have to find it on ours. The fuel filler thing is a good reminder to people to clean out in there. How you getting on with the S4? Got myself one of them at the start of Nov and love it but you can see the benefit from a map. It feels slightly strangled up top and apparently they bleed boost at higher rpms to limit power from factory. Obviously not wanting to upset those that have splashed out on a RS4 B8.
  19. Thanks, it looks okay, from a distance. Not even a weekend toy to be honest, sitting doing nothing over the winter and gets used very little during the year. Need to sort that out next year as its starting to suffer a little from under use.
  20. That's the thing with any car. Mine just sits as its my slowest car and least practical etc. I have no need for it at all but just cant sell it for some reason. I like having different cars as it does make you become less content, I would keep the Golf as well unless you really need the cash. They key is to have cars that are fun-ish to drive in their own way, I had a Mk5 Tdi and it bored me senseless. What I would say is if you are happy with the Golf as it is don't throw a lot of money at it. They are a great daily as they are IMO.
  21. Never seen it before, who had it as its a small VW world up here?
  22. Corrado and one set of Audi rims have Michelin PilotSport3's. Very impressed with these. Other set of Audi wheels have Hankook S1 Evo's and again I found them very good in all conditions. I tend to go for tyres with at least B rating in the wet as that when I'll need them the most.
  23. Hey, only a few miles from you in Kintore. Was it a local car as Ive never seen one matching that description going about.
