Nah, reason I sold mine as it was just too obvious. I like the grill badge but not the plate, keep it subtle.

This idea has been around for ages. Im pretty sure Lotus were working on this 10+ years ago. Thats what tends to happen, someone comes up with a concept that is not applicalblr at the time due to tech but as thing progress its becomes viable. Good luck to him, he seems like an ideas man.

Makes me want another bike watching that.

I had a BMC but the smaller one on my 24v. It wasnt that loud to be honest which was good, if you reloate the battery it will be better for air. I ran a small ducting hose alonside the battery to the filter to help.

Why? For the expense its not really going to do much. From the reading Ive done on an NA engine a 6 branch makes next to no difference. I like the sound of the standard looking tailpipe design system though.
-
I spoke to a guy about 15min ago who said this was good to use. Ive known about this on motorbike tyres for some time. Theres also tubeless option but I think that more of a weight thing.
-
That why i bought my bike as I couldnt have soemthing like that sitting about. Tried it out for the first time last night and what a difference. It climbs so much better and downhill sections are a piece of ****. Still managed to get a puncture though.

Try a full plate over the grill as I think that might be something to do with it. Just checked the spec sheet and it should have a Gruven 70deg stat fitted.
-
You wont, this is what they are like though. Long spells of bliss followed by periods of frustration. It did run relatively cold when I had it as well but then I preferred that to the other option.

Just turn the stereo up!

I know but they are nice bits of kit. Dont worry I didnt pay anywhere near the normal price and wouldnt. Some of the folks i know have £5k bikes and its a hobby but then they would think Im mad having a 20year old car as a hobby as well. Believe it or not you dont get pedals with the bike but I have some anyway.
-
I would get the wheels done in silver. Never been in one but there aint many going about up here which is good. Ive always liked the VII version the best as they are a bit more subtle. As said better than Subaru.

Got myself a new bike yesterday. Brand spanker LaPierre Zesty 514. Its bloomin light. Wasnt even looking but it was too good to miss plus p/x'd my old bike. The missus is jealous as I she just got the 214 version a few months back and paid more than I did. Would never have thought Id spend so much on a bike though. First go tomorrow, lets hope I like it.

You should try running an RS4.....

Is it just me or is the Corrado "on par" with newer cars ?
coullstar replied to Mawrick's topic in General Car Chat
I think most modern hatches etc will be better and some of my recent cars Ive had i.e. Mk5 Gti, 130i, New Scirocco have been so much more competent than my VR however the one thing I always notice is how much feel I get in the Corrado. Things progress and I wouldnt expect the car to be on a similar level but with a few tweaks they are not far off. -
If its thier fault you have no issues with getting it repaired I would have thought.

Any better photos in daylight to show of the colour?
-
Ah cool, at least someone has had this before. I think it was Star that fitted these ones as well to the 4mo. Ive ordered std hoses for the golf so I'll get them swapped out and see whats what and update with photos on this thread for future reference.

I would put some standard wheels on it and explain a bit more in the Psitonheads advert regarding history, when things were replaced etc etc. Main things I always look for is MOT/Tax, when consumables were last replaced and any big jobs that have or might need doing. Nothing wrong with the AP's, from my experience. People rightly or wrongly judge on things like that without having experience of the equipment so instantly think "im going to have to spend £XX more when I get it". It would be good if you have the original suspension so the buyer had the option to put it back to standard. At the end of the day they are all getting on for 20+ years old, they will all have thier faults even those cars that dont appear to have them. Priced sensibly a Coraddo will sell but it will take you a little time.

Corrado Part Duex - 24V Aqua Blue - She's gone.

Good effort, didnt realise you had done so much so quickly. -
Phoned Bill at Badger5 and he couldnt say either what would work. Sounds like it could be a bit of a pain. Might just get some funcy pads for the 288's and live with the fade on track, put the 312's on the Golf and punt the Brembo kit.
-
Bugger, I was hoping it was as simple as taking them off the Golf and putting them straight on the Corrado. Picked up a 312 set up last night so will get them swapped in and see what the story is with the Brembo's. This is the Brembo GT kit I have. Ive got about a month to get this figured out. ---------- Post added at 8:59 AM ---------- Previous post was at 8:54 AM ---------- Acutally just checked the spec sheet and its the GT junior calipers I have but the LCR discs. i.e. this kit http://www.thettshop.com/latest.asp?cat=2008&product=600438

Can anyone confirm that the standard caliper brackets from the LCR are what you need for the Corrado and I dont have to buy specific brackets?
