Are these a sealed unit? Whats the plenum style section for before the throttle body? 40hp seems quite low, I was under the impression 70bhp is the norm for a s/c on the VR.

Some good photos there. How big is the exhaust on the red one, you would have to check for homeless people sleeping in it every morning!!! -
Cool, good man. Another Corrado in town.
-
Know it well from the Audi forums, it would be a blast. The WB conversions do look so subtle as well.
-
Nice, recognise the username from Clubgti. Not been on there for a while. I am coming round to the fact that a slightly fettled VR is the best thing now.
-
Might just be running slightly rich with the decat then.
-
Is the exhaust sealed correctly? Are you using a lot of fuel?
-
I see you got here then.

Cazza's Storm- Gone :( ...S3 Has Arrived! :)

Ive had one of these and they are solid cars. A map is a must though, makes a big difference. Then you need to get the geometry set up right as again it makes a big difference. Same era as my Audi and I love the solid plane feel of the interior, it hides its age well. -
You would, I had a 130i with 260bhp and it wasnt a patch on this. Seriously you will not get anything close to this amount of fun for this sort of money. If Id thrown the money at this that I have done with the RS4 it would be utter amazing.

See, told you so. 24psi!!! I bet it was a bloomin handful.
-
Mate, see theose tyres your friend has get some of them. I just put them on in place of the Schwalbe and they are miles better.
-
Looks nice, out of interest do you know what the plate was before the private one? I had a white G60 which J221 LGA up in the North East.
-
Drive them and find out, you will then realise how old the corrado feels. If your only doing 6 miles dont get a diesel. The TSI engine can be mapped to about 260-270bhp quite easily and no cambelt to worry about. Scirocco also seem to hold thier value quite well from what Ive seen. No real inherint problems but stay away from the 1.4 versions.

Something about A5 that I cant quite put my finger on that I dont like. Im on my 2nd Scirocco, I really rate them and they offer great value for what you get. Mine has the winter pac, Nav, leather, panroof and 19's and it is a very nice car to drive everyday. The Tsi engine seems better than the Golf's engine. I might have to sell mine soon if your interested. Problem is there are a lot of them going about much like the A5. Depends on your budget. Im getting very tempted by a new 3 series M-sport touring.

See I found my VRT quite progressive to drive, you just have to use the throttle in the same way. You learn how to do it i.e a quick dap to build boost then control the throttle. A tuned 1.8T is not really the same either as they tend to have a lot of power early then tail off. Nice car, good result after the hard work.
-
You would have to be very careful. I reckon it would be very difficult to do it and be left with useable wheels without having to do more work to them. Whey were they welded like that?
-
Box change shouldnt cost that much. I said it so many times when I had the car but when I fixed it and went for a run I just couldnt do it.

I find dirt is great at hiding swirls....

Must admit I didnt realise all the things that have been done to this. To me it has the perfect slightly fettled spec. Someone will get a cracker. -
Stainless Steel OE look exhaust.. Anyone interested?

Anymore progress? -
You would not believe what its costs from the top guys. Theres a company about 5miles from me that seems to be one of the best and they sometimes take a whole week for a car. They are normally booked out for months ahead. It is impressive what they can do and the attention to detail is amazing. Not my bag I must admit. http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/blog/

Remember Racelogic can be used for traction control and launch control. Id concentrate on have the car fueling correctly as thats the key with the turbo motor.
