I bought the snow foam lance (decent one £45) for my Karcher pressure washer and its OK. Its looks really good when it goes on but i Don't think it gets rid of that much dirt. Its also stuck in my pressure washer and I can't get it out. I use the clear snow foam but mix in a bit of maxi suds. Personally I can live without one but each to their own. I equally bought a lot of cleaning products but tend to only use a few. I like the Sonus gloss shampoo. I also bought a meguiars polisher which is excellent at removing scratches and restoring the paintwork. Not used it much though and waiting for warmer weather.

Break it for parts, gotta be worth more than 6 million then. Dibs on the sunroof.

Tw*ts! It might be worth putting in a small camera to catch em as its happened a couple of times. I hope it can be sorted and not to costly.

Chris Langdon's Moonlight Blue VR6 thread!!!

Nice. Are they a straight swap for speedlines or do you need adaptors? Im looking for some RS's, 16inch though and unlikely to be 301s as Im poor. Black corrados I think are the best and those wheels together with the lowering make it look the nuts. -
No, Its a mini solar panel that sits in the windscreen. It takes power from the sun (even if theres no sun :D ) and keeps the battery topped up.
-
Ive got a solar trickle charger I use to keep the battery topped up. It plugs into the the cig lighter socket. My question is does the cig lighter work without the ignition switched on? Ive just tried mine and it dosen't work with either the ignition on or off :confused4:

Id be interested to know too as Im in Canterbury. Gonna need someone with VAGCOM before the MOT to sort out my ABS Light staying on (hopefully just a sensor) TBH was gonna try Volksline (not used them before). Have you had bad experiences with them? -
Sounds like hes definitely stiffed you otherwise he would have spoken to you about it. Im sure you haven't lost a great amount but thats not the point. I bet he thinks you will just give up. If it were me, Id ring him everyday until he refunded the money. Even if he dosen't pay, hell have to buy a new phone.

Mine does about 32mpg if in 5th gear even at different speeds (not just on the motorway). At least thats what the MFA tells me.

It rained off and on all day to day but I was determined to get it fitted. The tedious part was fashioning a bracket to hook onto the tensioner. I used some stiffish tin which was easier than steel but looks pants, hey ho its on there :D In my eagerness to test it I started the car up but it kept stalling. FFS I thought i was going to have to put the old airbox on when I noticed I hadn't reconnected the MAF plug :cuckoo: Took it for a good drive and Im really pleased with it. Ive heard others say its loud and chavvy but my experience is the opposite. I was running a K&N panel filter which i found was louder at low revs but in a raspy way that sounded a bit harsh. The CDA is more subtle and quiet at low revs but when you get it to 4k + revs its got a nice deep resonant sound that frightens people you are overtaking, Get Some! The car actually feels smoother as well. Ive got one question, do you have to remove it for the MOT?
-
Id be interested in doorpod GB and possibly sub enclosure.
-
It Had a new fuel filter about 6 months ago. When the garage changed it they said there was a hell of a lot of shit in there and the fuel lines. They ran quite a bit of fuel cleaner through the system and Ive also used a lot of redex which I would have thought would have cleared any blockages.

Had to use the Car for work all this week as my missus car failed its MOT. First day it had the hold back but Ive worked out I don't have to stop the car, If I just floor it when it starts to happen it clears after about 3 goes. The rest of the week it did not do it once, so it could be related to the fact that the car stands for a week between drives???

Thanks. Ill be ordering a loom. Im gonna see how easy it is to get hold of the connectors, if its too much hassle, Ill have it without. Bet theres a shortage now cause of this thread :D Get back to you soon.
-
I see. I take it that means if you have the OEM Connectors you do not have to remove the headlights?
-
What is the advantage of having the OEM Connectors if the looms are plug and play without them anyway?

Ok, Got the door card and membrane off to see what's what. TBH its not easy to see anything. I couldn't tell if the glass had come out of the rear guide (do you you have to remove the rubbers at the top of the door in order to tell?) The glass is still in the bottom guide as this moves up and down with the glass. I did notice a loose cable by the window regulator, does that mean its fooked? Pic attached I was able to secure the window by pulling it closed with a glass suction lifter and wedging some wood to stop it falling back down. Pic attached Ive got a couple of questions. 1) When pressing the window switch, the clicking appears to occur in both the door and the rear quarter panel. I know the window control module is located here but is there just one, or one on each side, ie one for each window? 2)The passenger side works fine, so does this mean that it can't be a fuse or the control module? I don't think there are seperate fuses for each side are there? Im thinking i need a new (used) window regulator but it might be a job for the summer.DSC02386.JPG[/attachment:35oqx5ur]

Cat could be clogged causing unburnt fuel to make it glow hot. This could be caused by a faulty lambda sending too much fuel (although yours seems ok), old spark plugs, sparking in the wrong order. Id deffo get it checked out if its glowing as you don't want a fire starting.
