  1. From what I've read, the work is in the prep and less is more seems to be the key to successful application.
  2. That's exactly the appeal to me. I washed mine earlier and was upset at feeling cold just to make an old car look clean before I drive it 5 miles and it would be back to how it was before I washed it! I'm also convinced the neighbours think I have ocd!
  3. I'm looking into replenishing my stock of car cleaning stuff and the gtechniq range has been appealing to me but I was after some real reviews instead of the keyboard warrior brand snobs you get over on detailing world. Is there a particular reason you moved onto cquartz ?
  4. Do you use the gtechniq range Sean?
  5. The servo shouldn't throw up any fault electrically. As far as I'm aware it's just the solder that ages in that switch. A nice new one will cure it. Where did you find the new switch? I thought they were obsolete now or have you been secret squirreling away on the Internet?
  6. ABS problems aside Sean, looks great, I've just been out and washed mine and I'm sad to say it's not quite as nice as yours! I've got a spare master servo with a working sensor if you need one? I'm not going to take the risk and separate the pair though.
  7. Shh, I don't know if she reads this or not but I don't want to give away her birthday present! I had to go to the next village for that!
  8. I normally shop local, but I live in a village miles from anywhere. The wife got upset when I bought her an orange from the green grocers last year.
  9. I thought that was reserved for people from Swaffham?
  10. Pfft! I went on Amazon last week and did the lot in under a hour. Still waiting for them to deliver though... Estimated delivery time, yesterday!
  11. Call tps instead, they are more willing to do a national search compared to individual dealers.
  12. Go on then, put some details up of the track car!
  13. Nice one Jim, Luckily you have a nice big garage to work in, I had to make do with a gravel driveway, never again! It's a bit of job to change over the ABS system but worth it I feel. Are you changing over the master cylinder and servo as well?
  14. Quite a few people within an hour or so of that part of the world. At least it's all easy fixes and fairly cheap too!
  15. You made it across here then Gary! What needs doing with it?
  16. I find modern cars make me drowsy at the end of a long day. I do t know what it is, but the Corrado keeps me interested for the full journey. Maybe it's the rattles? Cheers Hasan, very kind of you. It's not a spot on kips car though. That thing is next level!

  18. Sean's storm is potentially not a storm and likely a normal car with badges but he is having difficulty getting VW to confirm as their records aren't all the accurate that far back.
  19. Weirdly enough I'm out of the RAF in the summer and did my trade training at Cosford over 10 years ago so if I'm free I'll come over for some nostalgia.
  20. I need a beige interior in my life! Good effort, daunting but not impossible,
  21. I've got a voodoo hoodoo Mic, great bike but I'd change the tyres over to something less off road orientated unless you want an air brake on the front of the bike. I got mine for £450 a few years back and it's been faultless and the hydraulic brakes make it so much better than the cable operated discs that come on a lot of cheaper bikes. There are better bikes but to get this off the high street won me over.
  22. Very nice. Who did the engine conversion?
  23. Just had a quick Google of those visors, look good!
  24. I had some issues from a tenants point of view. I was basically mugged off over the phone. I found sitting in the agents office on a Saturday morning politely, firmly and with a loudish tone, complaining about their lack of service and how I've been treated, soon cured my fault. I didn't enjoy doing it nor did I feel big or clever but I'd been mugged off and nothing was working.
  25. All this talk of aftermarket is catching my interest. Do these systems come with a Base map to get you going and then take it to a decent tuner?
