I feel your pain! I've put wheels on so many times during the rebuild that I can pretty much hit the right torque everytime with a breaker bar and usually there is only a tiny amount of movement on the torque wrench! It's a great bit of kit for undoing stuff with though!
-
Even with a gun, I still use a breaker bar and a torque wrench on my wheels. It's almost impossible to get wheels done up properly without hugely overdoing the torque unless you have an expensive impact gun. I know plenty don't care about torque settings though and will still buy an impact gun and hit wheel bolts until they stop turning.

Another vote for the corded impact gun. It's quite bulky though and only just fits on the top mounts. It's hugely powerful for the cash though.

I was told by my tps that there were only 4 sets left in the UK. That was in August.
-
Not really. It can be done but it's just so much more difficult to do. With the slam panel removed you can get to the heads of the bolts you are fitting to hold these nice new brackets. It's pretty difficult with everything in situ and the bottom bolts are almost impossible!

Today's improvements! Partly for looks, Partly for better braking and partly because I found some carriers for next to nothing! They are a nice upgrade from the 288's. Not a huge improvement but definitely an improvement and i'm very happy with them. Teves20, Braided lines and 312's are about as far as I can go without getting bigger wheels or finding some 16's that have the clearance and I like the look of. I've not noticed any detriment to the handling or steering myself but the roads are pretty greasy at the moment. Maybe when they dry out I may notice the extra size. The discs are definitely heavier! Maybe the next improvement can be some nice grippy pads. Apologies for generic poor camera phone picture! -
Outside temp sensor? Fog lamp? indicator? Those are the only things electrical in that area and all have 2 pin plugs.
-
229 is good going!
-
I'll await a tentative price but I'd would like it to be under 700 delivered. Something for nothing and all that!
-
The cheapest from the UK I could find including the fitting kit was £950. They have gone up a bit!
-
Wavetrac everytime for me. The other 2 are borderline useless when in the snow for instance, the wavetrac uses friction plates and will work if 1 of the wheels has no grip where as the other 2 require at least 1 wheel to have some grip before either get driven.
-
I thought it was about 650/700 myself.

The mesh is reduce turbulence over the sensor so that it's readings are accurate.
-
Those are worn, the gap should be a lot less.

That Omega is lovely!

02-22. It States it as positive suspension in the Google translation.
-
The best price in the UK is Larkspeed at around £615.
-
One is for Base suspension and the other is for Plus suspension. Generally speaking all vr6's and late cars with 5 stud hubs are plus, the rest are Base cars.
-
I think this is the suspension I'm going to get. I'd gotten used to the comedy ride height on standard suspension until I see it next to another Corrado!

You're not missing anything mate. It appears my description was a bit off! I bought Comex/Revotec fans which are NOT curved. The curved fans are by Kenlowe and cost a lot more. My statement above remains though even if I got my brands mixed up. This is the one I bought and I'm very happy with it. Currently only run the 11" fan which is more than capable on a hot day in traffic. I'll add the 9" fan when I add aircon. http://www.burtonpower.com/parts-by-category/cooling-system/electric-fans/comex-cooling-fan-280mm-11-suck-high-power-type-0153.html

Yeah Revotec fans. They are curved and Chris is spot on, they are very quiet. The way mine a wired up means that they come on at full speed regardless of what temperature switch is activated and you can only just hear them in the car. Turn the music up slightly and they are inaudible. I'm chuffed to bits with them and they are considerably lighter and draw a lot less current when compared to stock. I think the stock fans draw up to 40 amps where as these top out at 9 amps and kick out a considerable amount more airflow too. I believe stock fans on full are 1200 lpm between both fans where as these do 1800lpm on their own.

I got mine from Burton Power. They are a Ford aftermarket outfit but were the best on prices that I could find at the time.

I believe that person is me. I'm happy to pass on this round and take up a later slot in the future. Sorry I took so long to respond, I plain forgot I had the pm. No excuse really. -
Beautiful colour.
