Probably a relay gone in the loom, depending on which one it is there should be either 2 or 3 of them. Ian.

Well I just tried again and they are definitely recognised, prices are €0.57 and €0.32 each respectively - Carriage is high from Classic Parts direct, so ring VW Heritage tomorrow and get them to order them in for you, but it could be 2 > 3 weeks or so. Ian.

I wondered too about the plastic pieces on your bonnet pins, are they new or if not how did you clean them? Ian.

The Moonroof still tilts and slides like a "normal" one, so headroom is probably no diiferent - As you've alluded to it does make the cabin feel much airier. Ian.

Bought them 2nd hand and got them replated at work, really pleased with how they came out! Ian.

Fitted some refurbisherd ones yesterday, a quick 10 minute job, but then spent probably another 30 minutes or so getting everything properly aligned and to the correct height. I now have a bonnet that opens and shuts fine, but there is a metallic "noise" from the passenger side one now everytime I close the bonnet? What I noticed on the ones I removed was that one piece of the bottom plastic/nylon(?) was reversed by 180degrees compared to the other, and I can't think why even though they worked perfectly. Below is a pic of how I have them now, both the same way around, but can somebody check on theirs and see if this is correct or should one (N/S?) be reversed? Ian.

Both the wiring and the bulbs will be showing signs of "age" now, so a popular upgrade is a new loom with a direct feed from the battery (Kurzy or similar off the forum) and better bulbs - I went for Osram Night Breakers, and if honest they are probably as good if not better than my daily! Ian.
