  1. Don't use Auto windscreens. In my experience they are most definitely not the option you want to replace your screen. Find a good quality alternative in your area, recommended by other customers. Hopefully guys on here should have some options for you to contact.
  2. Hi John, I'll be there fella. I won't be in the Corrado as am bringing up some parts to sell off in the auto-jumble. Will be great to see you. I love Stonor Park show, always a great atmosphere and opportunity to meet up with friends.

    AWD Shopping List

Hi Rams, Having previously maintained and tuned many of my customers various 4WD VAG cars, and most recently built a Rallye to order from a bare shell, am currently engaged in my own Corrado 4WD project. My build is based around the use of the TT Quattro O2M 6 speed gearbox, custom propshaft & driveshafts, Rallye rear beam modified for Mk1 Haldex diff. We are deleting the Haldex centre diff viscous coupling, and re-designing this area to give "proper" Quattro drive line, ergo removing the hassle and inadequacy of this system. For the remainder of the conversion I am welding in the Rallye boot floor, utilising the Rallye fuel tank, and using an interior mounted brake bias control system. My reason for this conversion, is that with 300bhp on my 16VG60 engine including a Quaife in the system. AWD would have proved useful. With a new turbo upgrade in the latest project build and 440 BHP 4WD and a stronger transmission is going to be a deffinate asset. Clearly we would be happy to carry out your conversion, and / or offer guidance for your consideration Regards, John JMR Ltd 01903718684.

  5. Lion, don't know what the problem was with you trying to contact me fella? I work Monday to Friday from 7am to well past 6 pm. I can be pm'd, emailed, text, faxed, or leave messages on my work / mobile numbers which are on so many threads on here. I would be happy to discuss your needs, and shocked you could not raise me! Are you at Stanford Hall meet this Sunday? You can't miss my car there :-) my number is 07974020031, I look forward to hearing / talking to you. Best regards, John Mitchell JMR Ltd 01903718684
  6. Hi all, we are looking forward to seeing you on Sunday, and hopefully a good number before that at meeting points as we travel in convoy up to the event. Do let us have your contact details so we can meet up along the way, or simply gather at Luton South J9 M1. We don't care if you are in your Corrado, your T car, whatever your ride you are welcome to join in the more the merrier.
  7. If your master cylinder seals fail then your pedal will sink under pressure as fluid will be blowing past the piston seals. To test the cylinder you can detach the brake pipes and replace with bleed nipples into the pipe ports onto the master cylinder. Bleed the cylinder of air and the depress the pedal. Your pedal should be solid and hold position under full pressure.
  8. Hi Kip, Just to let you know, I have my pass now. For some daffy reason our postman delivered it to our neighbour!! See you Sunday Bud.
  9. Don't fall into the diagnostic read out trap of instantly replacing the sensor that has been listed. I'm not saying your fault isn't the O2 sensor, but that code could be indicating a wiring / terminal connector fault, ie broken wire. If this is the case and the fault is in the loom then replacing the sensor will not effect a cure. Before paying out coir a £100.00 on a new sensor it is worth your while carrying out a wiring continuity check.
  10. Ok, good idea, for a general meet point to gather up all cars from the M25 from both directions in to M1. Lets meet at Luton South Premier Inn Services at M1 Junc 9 between 06.30 and 7.00am to leave at 7.00am getting to the show ground at no later than 08.30am. For others travelling from Surrey and Sussex we can gather you up at Leatherhead at 6.00am. For those local to us in West Sussex please contact me to plan a meet point. My contact no. Is 07974020031 please text your chosen meet point and mobile contact info so we can keep you updated. ---------- Post added at 8:01 PM ---------- Previous post was at 8:00 PM ---------- Looks like Troy got here first :-D

    rear abs sensors

Good luck Andy, as you say I never write off the chance that someone has the components you want gathering dust.

    rear abs sensors

I hope someone can help you Andy, but ABS sensors are not easily extracted without damage and for that reason I would be cautious of buying used items, after all it is a safety issue. Genuine quality ATE sensors can be bought from factors like Euro Car Parts very competitively if the VW Dealer price is over budget.
  13. Bless the day that the bureaucrats put in place more rules than people to uphold them! Just think of the financial loss to the aftermarket motor industry, and the queues outside every SVA testing station!
  14. That's freaky Kip, given that 53 was the turnout for Brooklands meet last year for our type 53's.
  15. The thinking behind going anti clockwise was to gather up folks coming across from the West of which there are a few.
  16. Shame about Stanford Hall, but hey hope to meet up at the National Day. R32 not for me Clumpy, I will be re-engineering my trusty 2.0 16V with a Garrett GTX turbo and circa 430BHP. 4 pots, forced induction multi valves, light weight chassis with four paw drive.
  17. We will be leaving at 6am from Rustington West Sussex, travelling up the A24 & joining the M25 at Leatherhead, then anti clockwise round the M25 to the M1 and on. Just going to work out some timings for anticipated key points along the route. Let me know where others of you could easily join up with us. More the better, no need to ask all are welcome to join in.
  18. Ahh you had your chance Clumpy, my Corrado is a keeper for life now hence the major re-configuration to drive train and engine output. For a while I weakened to to my yearning for a Porsche 911 Turbo, but that day will come. For now am looking forward to the new engineering project ahead. See you at Stanford Hall?
  19. Brill! Thanks for the help there Kip. Now all you need to do is let me know where you want to pick up on the Convoy route, be great to have you along with us.
  20. As soon as I have fitted the first one produced to my car, the detail such as you ask will be made known. However, this panel in isolation is not intended to answer all the Corrados weight reduction issues. It will most certainly offer a lighter weight option, but moreover, it is configured to be part of a package along with roof and bonnet and other reduction measures. Including the use of Lexan replacements. Weight reduction Is not either to be considered the only advantage of carbon composite panels. This tailgate being added to the option list from LWS generates another repair panel for the ownership to acquire, and keep our cars alive with no more corrosion risk. I for one am delighted a manufacturer will embrace our requirements, and produce low volume parts where Volkswagen are failing the enthusiast. This in my book is reason to be grateful for whatever the gain might be, it is a win win scenario.
  21. I run the CTN with a Quaife LSD and foud the conversion to be quite one of the best bolt on upgrades for the power and torque output of my 16VG60. It quite simply transformed the drive. We have fitted both of these transmissions to modified G60's and to be honest from my experience they are both vast improvements over the stock ratios. If your budget will stretch, however, do fit the LSD as it is key to the package.
  22. In response, and to eliminate doubt. The info is correct, I have sourced all the 4WD conversion parts, and the majority of the engine upgrades for my Corrado. Once all the 25th Aniversary meets are concluded my Corrado will be comming into the workshop for major conversion works and Due back on road this time next year with a touch more power and grip ;-).
  23. Ref the spoiler. Given that LWS bought all the ex Performance Trim moulds, they therefore have the Corrado rear spoiler mould that was made to equip my Car accordingly. So in short LWS can supply the rear spoiler as well. My car will be up at Stanford Hall so if any of you want to see the carbon parts available from LWS ie bonnet, roof, rear spoiler this is the opportunity.
