  2. PG engine and charger are both reliable , the only unreliable feature is the quality of attention afforded to maintenance of the engineering. Any G60 now is going to be 19+ years old. So if you are looking at a regular unmolested example, you are not so much buying a "car" but moreover an enthusiasts classic. This vehicle is going to be limited only by the diligence of previous owners. My advise to you is by all means buy a G60, they are fantastic cars, but buy with your eyes wide open, and if you are not completely aware of how to evaluate such a purchase then recruit someone who is. Restoration is expensive and good parts are becoming evermore difficult to find. Good luck in your search it is well worth the effort. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. The outlet you describe is the boost return on the throttle valve. In original build this would of had a hose system routing the unused boost air back to the supercharger.any owners have deleted this feature in the interest of pursuing performance gains. You don't have to do anything with this revelation on your own G60, however, if you don't care for the noise it makes you can opt to revert back to standard. There are other options, but I'm sure you will now have opened the flood gate to be the recipient of all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Warm welcome to you, and congrats on your well chosen G60 purchase. I live in West Sussex. Will look forward to perhaps meeting in the future. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    1.8 16v to G60

Why convert one model to one that already exists? It's far less expensive option to go and buy a G60. Not wanting to dampen your enthusiasm, but there is so much to be changed on a 16V to transform it into a properly equipped G60 you really will question the sense of such a conversion when you add up the cost. 6. Strangely interesting thread, and Corrado ownership demograph. Anyway , I'm 48 and have owned my G60 for 19 years. G60 PJM has gone through numerous changes in my ownership, and given many great memories. Sadly no up for sale as I need to scratch a Porsche 911 size itch I have had since my school days. 7. Have enjoyed air guns since being a young lad, so rather alot of years now! My first rifle was a Relum Tornado, followed by a BSA Mercury, BSA MK1 Airsporter, Weirauch HW45, Titan pre-charged, to what I currently have an Air Arms S410 Classic .22 uwith a rather nice German scope. Have done the whole full bore firearms thing post leaving the Army, but have since sold these on as I didn't have the time to justify continued ownership. Great sport to follow and take part in, glad to read that a number of you feel the same. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I fitted BMW Air vents to Big Tartan Judges Corrado. Can't say they were as straight forward a mod as the ones I made for my own Corrado. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Best brace for the job IMO is the Eibach item, sadly now discontinued, but they do come up for sale on the used market. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Make them yourself, much more fun and rewarding, furthermore you get exactly what you want. I made my own set and linked them in with an alloy fabricated bumper reinforcer which doubled as an air duct, directing air directly to my radiators. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Sorry to present this news, but in my experience D&W front strut braces are not the best quality or fit and to hear your news comes as no surprise. These units normally foul the brake reservoir and the bulkhead panel. Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Daleyboy is referring to the pitch of the thread when he mentions "depth" pitch of a thread is often thought of as a reference to the coarseness of the thread. It is the measured distance between any two neighbouring simillar points along the thread. So if one had a bolt with a metric thread described as M10 x 1.5, the 1.5 would be the thread pitch. Hope this helps. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Hey fella we all have a brain fart from time to time, that's when like minded enthusiasts come in handy. Glad to hear your frustration is over and you can complete the install of your coilies. I hope you are pleased with the new ride height and compliance. Don't overlook the importance of getting the alignment adjusted post fit. Best regards, John JMR Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Your top mounts need to be fitted to your new coilovers in the same way as they were to the original damper struts. If you do this then the mounts will fit as they should. So you will need to secure the top mounts with the "castle" nut, and then secure the top plates with the new nut supplied with the kit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Coilovers can be fitted with early or late top mounts equally. They are not supplied specific to either type. You simply need to apply the correct mounts specific to your model Corrado. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Ideally you would have been better to purchase both bearings from the same supplier, but not totally essential. Check the bearing part numbers which can be found stamped into the bearing casings. It is probably nothing more than a slight difference in finish specification with regard to the bearing cage seals. If you own a vernier calliper, check the bearing size details ie external and internal diameter, and width. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  18. Depending on the design of the union seat, one is required to match it with a single or double flare on the pipe. There is no issue of "point" moreover requirement. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  21. Hi stel g60, Glad to hear you have saved another G60 from an uncertain future. I will be very happy to discuss your needs, after the Bank Holiday weekend, when we re-open on Wednesday. I have specialised in Corrado since 1993, and have a particular passion for the G60. I own a self built 16VG60 myself, and I don't think there many mods left that I have not carried out on a Corrado! You can contact me during working hours on 01903718684, I look forward to hearing from you. Have a good weekend. 22. Kin, your car was very nearly there unfortunately Rupert had last minute non car related distractions, so was not able to join our convoy. --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?33gkj4 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Class act, enjoy it. Really pleased for you. It's great to see an Aston in the hands of an owner with a real appreciation and passion. Question is can you resist playing James, -------James Bond? --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?gpbxto Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Happy to discuss your needs if you wish. Have done this conversion just a few times now! The job is labour intensive, but relatively straight forward. Only ever complicated by that which whoever has been at the loom previously. Give me a call during working weekday hours on 01903718684 Regards, John JMR --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?4nzvkb Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
