  1. I use the AST compression test tool. This comes as a box kit available through Snapon dealers, or direct to AST.
  2. Swampy can you make a set of four rear hoses for a Golf Rallye that would also be compatible with MK4 Golf banjo bolt fitting callipers? If you can could you contact me with costing for two sets please. Look forward to hearing from you. Regards, John JMR 01903 718684
  3. Face lift G60 will have: Bonnet with raised up centre Wings will have more prominent arches Front headlights will be flush with front panel Front grille will have less slats, all of which are aero style Front fog lamps will be integrated into the frame with only the indicators separately removable. Both will be flush with front face of bumper. Front and rear bumpers will have a moulding top line that does not curl back in to body. ABS brake system standard feature. Dash switchgear arranged as push buttons not rockers in centre left of display. Dashboard air vents of a more rounded style, Electric window switches mounted on top of door pods. Door speaker pods restyled to suit the rounded changes elswhere. Heater controls change to rotary dials. Steering Column stalks changed to MK3 golf style rounded bodies. Hazard switch changed to MK3 golf unit Sunroof switch changed to toggle operation type and integrated with interior light. Gearshift weight added as stock modification. Door mirror control changed to D pad style and relocated into door pull handle These are the key changes made to the face lifted Corrado. However there are a number of transition cars that came equipped with some of these features only. This was an outcome of Karmann running out the old stock parts. This has been a subject for much discussion over the years, and no doubt for many to come. Good luck with finding your G60, quite simply the best IMO. Mine has entertained me for the last 20 years.
  4. Ok as promised, have checked Etka and the washer reservoir and cap still available. You will require part numbers: 535 955 453 reservoir £27.48, and the cap 1H0 955 455 £3.19 both prices inclusive of vat. Sadly the PAS reservoir was dropped without replacement on 01/12/2010, will have to clean up a used item there. Best regards, John JMR
  5. I can check this on our Etka parts system for you tommorrow morning.
  6. My take on the G60, not for much longer though, as big changes planned to start end of July.
  7. Hi Dickie, We could make up parts as you require. However, owing to the bespoke nature of these parts, we would require your car in our workshop to allow us to build the parts to spec. Due to the fact that each install of these handles is slightly different with regard to positioning, so too is the operating mech allowing it to function in harmony with the existing latch.
  8. Hi Jimmytarzan, as dragon green has kindly suggested, i do have Audi door handles on my own Corrado. this is a modification we offer at JMR. The price is variable dependant upon the degree to which you want to involve our services. Ie for example, many of our previous customers have chosen to supply the parts, and once the conversion is complete have chosen to carry out re-fitting the door trim. We are happy to discuss your needs, and to this end welcome your enquiry. You can contact JMR on 01903718684. ---------- Post added at 10:19 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:16 PM ----------
  9. Point to note on this subject is that the Corrado windscreen two part rubber seal has very recently become obsolete without replacement. So guys be very careful with this seal, and advise your screen fitters not to damage it as it will need to be re-fitted. As said this seal is more a trim, as the bonding adhesive doubles as the actual seal.
  10. Turbo trainer is my weapon of choice when the roads are not an option. I have one of my old bikes set up as per my regular road bike, permanently rigged onto the turbo.
  11. Well here's a thing. One of my customers delivered his Corrado to me two weeks ago, for us to fit his carbon roof and bonnet. He managed to fit both panels in his Corrado. In fairness the rear trim and seats are all removed. So it's possible but not with the rear bench fitted.
  12. And these are the lower arm pics as promised.
  13. The pics of the lower arms to follow but they will look every bit as good as the subframe shown.
  14. A friend of mine has a freshly powder coated Corrado VR6 front subframe including lower arms and ARB, for sale. I will send him a tx to contact you.
  15. Corrado tucked away at home in my heated garage. Meanwhile I'm out enjoying the sublime qualities of my A4 Quattro Sport. Can't wait until i have completed the next series of upgrades to my Corrado, and it too will be a Quattro.
  16. The "lifetime warranty" is solely with respect to corrosion to the strut housing.
  17. This is the power steering and aux' belt cover. It is fitted to the underside of the vehicle, and protects the two drive belts from water spray and the resulting inconsistent drive they produce, which will be suffered by all those whose cars are missing this part. It is obsolete now and quite rare to find, as many have been lost, ripped off or just not re-fitted after engine works.
  18. Can i play Devil's advocate for a moment? Why use hubcentric adapters at all? Would it not be better to convert to 5x100 hubs and delete the need for heavy and unnecessary parts. If you require the spacer element of the hubcentric conversion, then you would simply need to either obtain wheels with the correct offset or adjust with light weight alloy spacers. Ergo reducing unsprung weight. Just a thought to perhaps consider?
  19. The carbon bonnet is based on the late face lifted version.
  20. Hi Dave, thanks for the come back. Can you expand on that statement? ie pics, specification and cost. I am too busy at the moment entertain making one, so your offer is potentially very welcome Dave.
  21. Before I get into making one of these, do any of you have one to sell or know of a UK based company who could supply. I need one of these to delete the ignition distributor as part of aftermarket ECU install.
  22. If you are planning to stay with the O2A box then in preference to the very expensive 6th gear conversions, I would recommend fitting the TDI ratios found in the CTN version of the 02A. Clearly dependant upon you engine and its power delivery characteristics there might be a requirement to mix and match ratios to get the desired effect. This is a far more economical option and delivers the results 100%. In my own car I currently use the CTN ratios with a Quaife ATB diff and the transformation was outstanding. Performance and power delivery aside, I have had 36MPG on a run from my 16VG60!! Where before with CBA ratios I would struggle to get 28MPG. If one is really adamant about having 6 speed, and the power output demands stronger gearbox, then the 02M is one of the best options. There are alterations required to the front subframe and a custom gearbox mount is required. Driveshafts too need to be changed, or custom built to suit. I am going to run the O2M box and Haldex diff as part of my 4WD conversion, purely as the power upgrade I am planning demands a significantly stronger gearbox. None of these options are cheap, but if properly researched they can offer significant improvement to overall performance.
  23. Hi Alex, long time since our last meet Bud. Try Graphite (Troy) on here, he has recently broken a black Corrado and I think it had late wings.
  24. Being a total tooling addict and F1 fan I couldn't resist this very limited edition box, brought out to celebrate Snapon sponsorship of McClaren.
