The guys have given you some sound advise on here. My recommendation would be for you to go with a road bike, not a compromise hybrid option. You really do need to get some training in for this event, otherwise you are going to be head banging your last miles all the way home. Are you looking to raise money for charity? I am currently training to take part in the London to Edinburgh 37 hour challenge, in aid of "Orchid" men's cancer awareness and research. Have raised £1000 so far. Good luck with your training and your event. But do make sure you buy the right bike. --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?3obm42 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

National Day 2012: Sunday 20 May: Brooklands
16VG60 replied to Tempest's topic in Event Announcements & Discussion
Massive thank you to the CCGB team for organising this totally brilliant national club day! Your hard work was so worthwhile, and completely appreciated. Prayers were answered and the rain stayed away, and we got to take our Corrados onto the historic Brooklands banked circuit. This is such a magical venue, the essence of Motorsport itself oozes out of the fabric, from which it formed. I think the sheer number of photos taken will stand as testimony of how special an occasion this was. If you own a Corrado and missed today's meet, then you truly missed out. Great to meet old friends and make new, furthermore to whiteness the largest number of Corrados I have ever witnessed. CCGB delivered today, Brill! --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?w4pc0g Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

A bunch of us from Sussex and Hampshire are planning to convoy up to Brooklands to get there for the breakfast club meet, enjoy a full English, and wait on to see the 10am Corrado rush. If any of you fancy an early start, we are meeting at the top of Bury Hill in Whiteways Lodge car park, north of Arundel, on the A29 at 8.15am. The breakfast club entry fee is £13 which includes breakfast and full access into the Museum. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
National Day 2012: Sunday 20 May: Brooklands

Looking forward to this meet. From the excitement it has stirred up, gauged by the level of discussion on this and the CCGB forums, it is looking to be a sizeable Corrado turnout. I am praying that the weather holds out for us, because with the predicted number of Corrados, the photos of us all on the Brooklands banked circuit, is going to be a wall hanger for all time. GSF used to keep Elring gaskets, which are OEM quality, as far as I was aware they can still supply these. If not Euro car parts can supply. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Not wanting to rain on your parade, but I think you will be very lucky to extract a rear side glass without damage. These windows are encapsulated into the surrounding rubber, and bonded in. It is not an impossible task, but highly likely to generate damage. Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Whilst cameras offer a little more peace of mind, and make you feel you have gone someway towards addressing the indiscretions of the great unwashed. Sadly however they act only as a deterrent to all but the more hardened criminal. If you are going to fit cameras, as indeed we have, fit the best available to ensure you can record decent high resolution pictures both day and night. At least then, if there is another event, you can offer the Police pictures that do clearly identify the culprit. Cameras, great idea but don't fit cheap product. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Milltek are very much in business still, and furthermore they are one of the largest manufacturers of performance exhaust systems in the world. We at JMR have been an approved stockist and fitting centre for Milltek product for over fifteen years now. Sadly the systems for Corrado have now been discontinued, the VR6 system being the last to be withdrawn. I could still supply these if demand was ten systems or more. Anyone interested should note that the VR6 system will also fit any late post 92 model year Corrado, ie 2.0 8V, 2.0 16V, late G60. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Check all the air induction hoses and pipes between the air filter housing and throttle valve. Ensure thee termed air supply to the throttle valve is not being influenced by loose connections or splits in the hoses. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Was great to meet you yesterday at the Workshop, a total surprise, and a complete pleasure to talk you through our works to date on your Corrado. A few more additions to fit, and a re-map away from final road testing, before you can take her back home to Scotland. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Of your car had not received regular two yearly brake fluid changes, which it does seem is so, then it is possible for the very small bore drilling that allows fluid to pass when the bleed screw is released can indeed become blocked. It is also possible that if you have clamped off the front flexi hoses that they could have collapsed internally. I would suggest you remove the bleed nipples from the front callipers, and check that they are deffinately not blocked. Then take a pointed small pointed pick and gently but firmly use this to clear an obstruction within the bleed nipple port, in the calliper. If you still have no flow of fluid, then remove the flexi hoses from the affected callipers and check you have good fluid flow through these to the calliper. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yep, that would do it! :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Check the earth connections on your lighting system. It is most likely that you have a back bleed of current from a poor earth return. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hi Ben, I can recommend RW Masters in Littlehampton. They have done allot of high quality work for me over the years. You will need to talk to Mark who now owns the body shop. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I too have a set of MK4 callipers for sale on here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If you have a cat fitted, and given that the ECU control systems are functioning correctly, you will read a CO of 0 from gasses measured at the tailpipe. Misfiring is a very different issue to charger surging. I suggest that you take your car to a mechanic familiar with the PG engine and it's timing and emissions systems. A logical and progressive system check, and set up adjustment, should highlight any fault and return your car to working within its perameters. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
-
Do you still have a cat fitted? When you measured the CO was the gas reading taken pre-cat, from the sampling pipe? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
-
If your mechanic had set the dynamic timing adjustment, then indeed he should have followed it by adjusting the CO and idle. These three settings are normally adjusted together on G60's, as each has an influence on the other. Surging power could be attributable to charger drive belt slip, or indeed as OwenG60 says extensive internal charger wear. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Is the engine still available? Where are you based? Could you arrange for this to be shipped on a pallet? I would like to discuss, urgently. Regards, John JMR Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Well we certainly are experiencing cold enough weather at present to test heated windows, door mirrors and indeed washer jets. Enjoy!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Apologies for my predictive text, ie "clink" bl##dy thing!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Most typical engine mount failure is the front mounting. With power on the engine will lift at the front, and of the mount is faulty there be a clink as you put it when power off. The rear mount symptoms are a horrible vibration or grinding noise felt through the floor and steering when power on, this seems to vanish on power off. I would suggest your front mount has become faulty. Easy test is handbrake firmly on, while an observer watches the engine movement while the clutch is eased up with the car in gear as if to take up the drive. If the front mount is faulty the engine will have excessive lift and there will be a clink as the drive power is taken off. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have fitted mk4 Golf fan jets to my carbon bonnet. These are fitted discretely under the bonnet do as they are not easily seen. They work brilliantly, and can't see why one could not fit them just as easily to a steel bonnet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Careful how I respond to this thread to avoid double entendres! Our chimney breast becomes very hot, just as a radiator, when the stove is running. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
