Received my copy a couple of days ago. I noticed it is thinner than usual and also echo the comments regarding the National Day/photos etc. However, I also find it hard to criticise too much when I haven't submitted any articles and also haven't volunteered any other help. I, for one, am glad that we receive the Sprinter at all. Thanks for all your efforts Jim.

The car is Looking great fella, glad you're pleased with it.

Only because your car is so mint I would say get the standard service and book stamped at the VW Dealership. But definitely go elsewhere for any other work that needs doing

The Warning Triangle and First Aid Kit are still present in the rear armrest. There is also a spare set of Number plates provided as when I got the car I put Vw supplied Euro Style GB Number Plates on it. Wing Kirror Glass also recently replaced with blue tinted anti dazzle glass at a cost of £70! GOOD POINTS: -Bodywork in very nice condition with no dings, scrapes, scratches and most importantly No rust. -Interior condition also very good. Headlining and Leather spotless with no marks or scuffs. Carpets clean and with fitted VW branded Carpet Mats in immaculate condition -Comprehensive Service records and very good provenance from new. -At least the last 3 owners members of CCGB/Corrado Forum and thousands spent. -Long MOT May 2014). -Starts and runs well with no over heating. Water Temp good and fans kick in as they should on all settings. Oil fresh and does not leak. -although Sorn car is on a trickle charger so no problem starting, car gets started and run on private road behind property every week whilst off road. -Electric Windows, Rear Spoiler, Wing Mirrors, Heated Seats and Trip Computer, Heated Rear Screen, Rear Wiper, Heater, Stereo, Instrument Illumination, Central Locking(off the remote), all work as they should. -Space Saver Spare Wheel, Jack and Tools present. -Vredestein SportTrac Tyres all round in virtually new condition (less than 3k relaxed miles since fitted). Speedline Alloys are also in outstanding condition. -Original spec Shocks/Springs included if new owner wishes to return ride height to standard. -ABS System Functions perfectly. The light comes on at start up and goes out immediately. BAD POINTS: -seems to be a slight engine misfire/hesitation at low revs/speed, drives fine at higher speeds with strong acceleration. Not investigated as have another VR6 which I am currently using. If I do not sell and decide to put car back on the road for winter I will look into this issue. -Clutch Pedal feels stiff, maybe the Clutch is on the way out. No problem selecting gears and drives fine when on the move, but again at low revs or stationary it seems stiff?! -some surface rust on robust suspension arm components, fuel tank straps etc under car. -needs Tax as currently Sorn for last month -Sunroof currently doesn't work on slide or tilt. In summary the car looks really presentable and everything apart from the Sunroof works perfectly. I feel it probably needs some minor mechanical/engine bay work to make it an outstanding example. As someone without the knowledge of facilities to do mechanical work I feel somebody else could get a lot more out of the car than I currently am. It's a shame to see it sat idle and it's time for a new home. I plan to Tax the car at the end of September and then run it over the winter months whilst my other VR is laid up. However, at the asking price I will put 6 months tax on it now. £SOLD

Welcome to VR ownership in general, and more specifically to the Storm. Yours looks lovely. I never even saw that advertised. Was it a local type advert? Is that a Channel Islands plate? cars from there always seem to be low miles. I thought my Classic Green Storm was pretty cosseted and low mileage at 109k. There can't be many with fewer miles than yours out there that aren't in a museum. Good to see you've already indulged in a spot of Off-Roading with the 4x4 ride height. Mine looks exactly the same? perfect combination with the 15" rims and tall tyres for our awful roads!

Corrado VR6 Storm value....????? Advice needed please guys..
Billzeebub replied to stu37's topic in General Car Chat
A 1-3 year old Storm that had done 72k! Who would have thunked it!? I never would have quibbled a 25k miler at that age, that's not even lower than average mileage really! I'm more general terms I am liking this thread, anything that talks up the values of a Storm gets my vote! -
A Dyson. I use the full size wheelie type with attachments, but my bro has just bought the handheld rechargeable jobbie, it's very good indeed.

The "what I did to my Corrado today" thread...
Billzeebub replied to Jim's topic in General Car Chat
Yeah, I've recently replaced this as well. If I remember rightly it was about £40. I didn't notice how bad the original was till I compared it side by side with the brand new unshiney one. -

Removed the annoying 50mph space saver spare and flat carpet in the Storm, installed a full size Solitude spare and a humped carpet. I feel much happier about heading off on a trip or two over the channel now. Boot space hardly compromised and I actually like the way the tyre-mound gives 'purchase' to items in the boot -
I have been looking forward to seeing this for a few weeks now, he originally said August, but that was rather optimistic

Always an event getting back in a C after time out/driving modern cars...photos of said Storm purlease?!

The car looks brilliant with the new wheels fitted, such a transformation from how you bought it fella. Excellent work.

Stainless Steel OE look exhaust.. Anyone interested?
Billzeebub replied to VR6Pete's topic in Group Buy Feelers
as I have already indicated I am very keen on an OEM style Dubpower system when it has been fully engineered. I currently have a Jetex system on my Storm VR, would be looking to switch the Jetex onto the other VR (which currently wears a rotten original) and have a Dubpower fitted to the Storm VR!? I would be interested in a price for this work when the finished article is released -
First thing to say is, well done for taking the Corrado to France, I intend doing the same for LeMans next year. Sod's law that something like this should happen though! I have insured my daily car for the last 2years with Admiral, they just about price matched (reluctantly) on renewal time. After your experiences I will be switching come renewal time next spring. Luckily, I haven't had any dealings with them outside of renewal time! I really hope that state of affairs continues with customer service like that!

welcome back to ownership, everyone comes back in the end. Look forward to seeing your progress with the car. Quite a rare colour you have there

I was just thinking you should give it a wash and charge £1600?!..seems a good price though with all the work youve done to it

I would definitely be interested in a Dub Power Exhaust if it can be made to look more OEM. Also would like it to sound more like a Jetex/Magnex, so very interested in people's opinion/experience on how they sound?
