Is other motorists "checking out" the Corrado ?
Billzeebub replied to Mawrick's topic in Off-topic Chat
Never tire of people coming up to me and complimenting the Corrado. People definitely notice them, a blast from the past these days. A lot of people driving Supercars would have owned Corrados back in the day. It's a world of difference the interaction on the road to when I am in the Boxster. Driving that most people seem to just resent you. The Corrado attracts love generally from car people, at worst benign indifference. Where I park the Porsche always expect to come back to it hideously vandalised, in the Corrado I expect to come back to a love letter offering to buy it, which has happened several times -
Do I get a discount for drumming up some more trade?!..

Are these Cup Holders still available? PM sent, cheers

Corrado Heat Shield Hood Liner (Group Buy 2014)
Billzeebub replied to Southie's topic in Group Buy Feelers
I don't desperately need one at the moment, but it would be good to have at the group price -
I remember reading your post when you bought it, thinking to myself that I would definitely have walked away from that car! You have turned it around and it will be one of the best out there by the time you've finished. Very impressive. If the Club gave out awards for saving doomed cars, you Sir would be definitely getting one. I look forward to seeing it at a show sometime

This event sounds ace, though any excuse to head for Cornwall

Loving seeing the work you're doing with the car getting it back to its former glory.

Good effort, its so sad when you see them not being looked after. It always makes my day when one is rescued from the brink

As much as I love The Lake District, Scotland wins hands down

Open to sensible offers on this from Corrado owners!

From your list, with the Corrado ownership in mind, I would go for the Z3M Coupe or the 968 ClubSport/Sport. Both are very rare and individualistic. Others that interest me greatly are the E46 M3 ideally CS/CSL, Porsche 964/993.

Thule 591s are great bits of kit. Though on the Corrado (due to the relatively short roof) they need to be mounted 'backwards' so that you can still open the Tailgate fully. I have had the bikes on the roof at well over UK motorway speeds and they are rock solid. They also lock to roofbars/bike for security, easy to remove bikes (Corrado being low makes it even more so) and racks. I would recommend them to anyone. As for the Boardman Pro, I love it. My brother has the Team and that is also excellent. Unfortunately I haven't ridden it much due to unforeseen circumstances and I now need it to go due to a work relocation/logistics. I will certainly look at another when I buy another bike.

2013 model, cost £1000 new. Used approximately 3 times for light trail use. It has probably covered around 20 miles since new! Bike in fantastic condition. Size is a Medium, I reckon it's approx 18" frame. I am just under 6ft and its perfect sizing for me. I tried the large but much prefer the feel of this. I guess this size would probably be suitable for people between 5'5-6'1. A superbly specified bike at the price point, with a Rockshox Reba SL Front Fork, Carbon Seat-Post & SRam Transmission. I have fitted a Charge Spoon Saddle (unused original Boardman saddle also kept), Specialized Alloy Barends, Alloy Bottle Cage, larger Alloy pedals & a Velcro Chain Guard. I have the original receipt from Halfords and all the documentation. It had a running in service after 4 months ownership and has been ridden once since! Unfortunately the bike has just been sat in my shed last few months, hence front brake needs bleeding. Otherwise it is in superb as new condition. No marks or dents or chips anywhere. Aside from the front brake mechanically perfect. I will let it go for £450. This is a brilliant price for a very light, group-test winning bike. Widely considered great value at £1000 when new, over £1100 with the Accesories. Bike is located in Surrey, near Banstead/Sutton. Please call/text Ben on 07973362476 or 02084012955

Top lurking there Matt!... Blackberries are my favourite colour, welcome to ownership. It sounds like you've already experienced most of the common niggles!

If it looks too good to be true...then again it looks a nice pleasant neighbourhood, unless its a dressed set and the local net curtains were twitching as Wayne redlined his way into the close to take 'suburban' snaps of the latest nicked/thrashed motor

Corrado Club National Day 2014
Billzeebub replied to Tempest's topic in Event Announcements & Discussion
Look forward to receiving the new Sprinter, the National Day sounds intriguing-though it would be hard to think of a better day than 2013 Castle Combe event. The location and weather were perfect and the number of cars/members that turned up was very impressive. I think a great idea for a future (2015) National Day (to address the Southern bias) would be the Lake District, with overnight camping. The location would easily entice plenty of folk from the south? It would also provide scope for Mini Breaks and some great drives/convoys etc -
I've always been a fan of the '4x4' ride height! For me its the best set up for brisk progress on our terribly rough roads. Standard all the way for me fella, with the possible exception of Exhaust/Induction and brakes
