Left sky last July to go to BT, going back to sky next month. BT calls are horrific if you don't go with free calls 24/7 Just ask for cancellations and they'll cut you a deal to keep you, since I left I've had calls and emails weekly inviting me back with 60% off for 12 months with no contract.

I'm not in Stoke any more and rarely in Stone, mines deep burgundy pearl and dirty, my number plate will be easier to spot than the colour......

With the car being to the right of centre it makes a fab desktop :)
-
It is indeed, that would be framed and on my wall :)

There's already a similar thread, "post the best pic of your car" or similar? 100 pages plus if I remember correctly?

A lazy employee rather than shop stock though http://garagewire.co.uk/news/halfords-autocentre-fined-47000-following-undercover-sting/

That's the blueprint for any big retailer. Here's a question for you, I'm looking to recover the front headlining in my T5 van, I need something that will stretch around the console in the roof, but want an alcantara type material rather than stretch carpet, any advice?

http://f.mail.halfords.com/ats/msg.aspx?sg1=c9f607cc98a40f2190a9cdf582688b21&mi_u=273436 They're also stating 20% off if you exchange an old stereo or sat nav for a new one, so if you can combine offers and have an old cd player to exchange you could potentially get a new Sony CD radio for £21...... http://www.halfords.com/technology?cm_mmc=E-Mail-_-WK11-_-FlashSale-_-Everything&_%24ja=tsid%3A71018%7Ccgn%3AJune2015_2015%7Ckw%3AFlash&mi_u=273436 http://www.halfords.com/technology/clearance/all-clearance/sony-cdx-g1000u-car-stereo

Any plans to have more of these made please? Mine failed at the weekend, I've fitted a used replacement for now. -
If I was going to do this (and I'm not - I don't drink in the car) I'd want to cover the diagnostic port under the gaitor surround to keep fluids out of it. Nice and neat, very well done

MK4 rear is actually a 2 cup holder, the console is early Corrado, I've no idea how much room there is behind the console for anything that will hang out of the back? MK4 front cup holder in the cubby hole HTH
-
I suspect a single MK4 Golf cup holder (from the rear of the console) will also be a goer too and be more readilly available too
-
Clear them, drive the car, stop and start it several times and rescan for codes without messing with anything

Early MK3 Gtis with the square side repeaters have the same set up (ECU is under the rear seats on the Golf should others need one) so may help widen your search. Or you can repair the soldered joints yourself by removing the sealant and reseal afterwards. I'm having these difficulties too at the moment http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?91372-ABS-pedal-sensor-repair-how-to-anywhere&p=1076642#post1076642

In the first place, not to break....
-
I agree totally, these are quite simple cars to work on compared with modern stuff, every day is a school day and what you learn today you'll benefit from another day. A good way of learning is to take something apart that doesn't matter if you dont put it back together again, I'd recommend buying a car to break it for spares for this reason. This is the type of car you should have bought http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?90370-Corrado-VR6-Satin-silver

Vvt will be either advanced or retarded, there's no in between other than the time it takes them to move, it's controlled by solenoids on the side of the head opening and closing Feeding oil to galleries onto the vvt sprockets.

What is this noise? Piston slap? (VR6) - maybe not the end of the world..

If the bores were heavily scored from media debris then the car would burn huge amounts of oil. What fuel do you run the car on?
