  1. Taken from Hennys thread "I got my local engineering shop to CAM drill the holes as they have been drilled at a specific angle to the top face of the spoiler else what I'm doing won't work... "
  2. The wiring is single strand and it must have passed down one of the spoiler posts?
  3. Several weeks ago Stuart Taylor messaged me asking for pics of Hennys old rear spoiler, much to my embarrassment (it’s an age thing) I forgot... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Someone gave me this for xmas Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. The idea was anything that interests you, many ex owners are getting emails about the revamped forum and can contribute (star wars, watches, trainers etc) and hopefully they'll hang around imparting their knowledge both Corrado and other hobbies etc
  6. I went to Dagfields today and bought this for £4 http://www.dagfields.co.uk/ I thought I’d start a new thread to practise posting pics / tapatalk etc Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Crank bolt - a decent windy or battery gun should get it off. Or fit the flywheel, place a bolt in one of the engine to gearbox bolt holes then hold with a pry bar or biggest screwdriver in the ring gear whilst an assistant heaves on the crank bolt
  8. These cars tend to smoke when left standing for long periods of time, it may just need a good run
  9. Using a jump lead to earth a spark plug to the block makes viewing the spark easy
  10. Its a safety device to prevent the pedal going to the floor during heavy braking from high speed - ABS works by releasing pressure (fluid) from the corner that is locked returning tiny amounts of fluid back to the reservoir. It will be a variable resistance dependant upon how low the pedal is.
  11. Bentley manual 24-470 gives data for injector testing, but doesn't give trigger voltage at the injectors
  12. Its rare that any ECU feeds circuits with 12V, when cranking an engine from cold so much of the battery's power is consumed turning the rotating parts creating compression at the same time that voltage available for other circuits drops well below the 12v you have at rest. So manufacturers build in a safety net to allow the circuits it rellies on to achieve a voltage the circuit can operate with, typically below 9V regulated. So 5V at the injectors maybe the factory setting?
  13. The trick is to open up the sensor and reflow the dry soldered joints and glue it back together again
  14. The boot would need a pinhole otherwise it would blow up like a balloon and maybe pop off / rip?
  15. MOT ran out 2 Oct last year, still taxed so someone’s looking at a fine for mot sorning
  16. Yes, My Audi 80 cab was a right mess, I repaired it with trailer wire, my current winter hack MK4 Golf is in a similar state, but I've got a spare loom to repair that
  17. Check for broken wires between the shell and the tailgate
  18. With any auction you need at least 2 enthusiastic bidders for a show. At£20k plus I doubt any traders will be interested as the risk of it being a land yacht is high.
  19. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?83391-Do-I-have-the-correct-Fluids-for-a-1994-Corrado-with-a-MK4-VR6-engine It’s got a MK4 engine in it

    Upgraded light loom

A relay is just a switch. One wire will be a body / battery earth for the low current side of the relay. One wire will be from the light switch, again to the low current side of the relay. Fused power in, high current when bulbs are powered. Power out to the bulbs. The relay is there to reduce current to the delicate contacts inside the switch extending its working life.
  21. Will the car start with a push or tow? Assuming its not a auto? If it does then its the starter, wiring or ignition switch
  22. I seem to remember someone in the past had a cam chain sprocket without the sensor pick up fitted?
  23. It’s in my garage loft and I’m hopeless at resizing pics anyway
