    herwoooooo

    Welcome! Looks nice 8) Sure it's a 2.0? It's got the early 1.8 16v front end...
  3. pm me your new address and i'll sort one for you and update your details at the same time :)
  4. Thanks for the recommendation Michael. MUST get some, as this seems to happen every time with the vRS :(
  5. Yeh, just sat in the garage :) Come and get it when you want- got friends over tomorrow, but will be around. Should be around Sunday too. School would also be fine. £20 OK?
  6. Spent some time on the vRS today. Gave it the full works. Spent around £90 on parts and did the following: Oil filter with new sump plug/washer Quantum Platinum Oil Pollen Filter (Charcoal) Spark Plugs Fuel Filter Fitted Green Induction Kit- cleaned and lightly oiled first (£10 Ebay bargain!) Topped up Coolant Topped up Screenwash Had to fabricate a bracket for the Induction kit from a B&Q bracket- worked really well. All went well apart from the oil filter, which just wouldn't budge. Had even bought a chain wrench, but it was complete crap. Ended up whacking a screwdriver through it and getting it off that way. Not ideal! I wonder how much that would have cost from Skoda? Probably around the £300 mark I would think, all for a stamp in the book!
  7. Baz, got one inc cables. The bits of sponge may need replacing, but think it's pretty decent.
  8. The later ones are fixed into a black plastic surround that also houses the indicator. The early ones are just the foglight on its own without any housing.
  9. My best mate's older bro had it on his BBC micro  Only played it a few times, but it was great. The graphics have improved somewhat ;)
  10. If it will fit a Golf VR, it will fit the Corrado!
  11. Could be mounts, also worth checking the throttle damper (dashpot). If this isn't damping properly anymore, the throttle will snap shut too quickly, causing jerkiness when coming off the throttle.
  12. Looking superb as ever Daren. Soooooo jealous of the Recaros! Been out for a decent spin yet? Nice day for it...

    Splitter

I've toyed with the idea of the Astra spoiler before- the one that goes up in the middle. Mid 90s Ibiza splitter will fit as well http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?23959-Jbob-s-Corrado-SOLD-!!!!/page4&highlight=jbob
  15. Hopefully going to both ;) Should think they're fairly similar in sound. Had a similar design CAI to the Carbonio, but can't remember what it was like as it was 10 years ago!
  16. Yep, takes the temp down by 8-10 degrees 8) ---------- Post added at 9:46 AM ---------- Previous post was at 9:46 AM ---------- Yes please Dave! Much appreciated! ;) ---------- Post added at 9:47 AM ---------- Previous post was at 9:46 AM ---------- Daren, yeh, it's not essential, but would be nice to have it working. I'm sure someone must have done it- must try the search! ---------- Post added at 9:49 AM ---------- Previous post was at 9:47 AM ---------- Thanks for the bodywork recommendations chaps. Will check them out. Also have another couple of places to get quotes from including the place who did the front end :)
  17. Thanks Jim! Yep, enjoying it again, even though it looks a complete shed  Not much fun working on it in this sort of weather, but it's good to get stuff sorted :)
  18. The metering head is sat on top of the airbox with the fuel lines running to it. On the 2.0 16v it has a little plastic cover.
  19. A little update! Spent the whole day sorting a few things out: Fitted Vibratechnics front and rear mounts. Have the gearbox mount as well, but am going to see how the car fares on the current set up first, as I've heard the VT GB mount can be a little harsh! Then sorted out the n/s headlamp adjuster which had shattered. The horrible 3rd screw was seized last week, but came free pretty easily as I'd given it a good soak in WD40. Replaced the little plastic thing in the screw bracket and found a decent replacement screw which I covered in copper slip. The light came apart very easily. The new adjuster was very straight forward to replace. Refitted everything and adjusted the light, which was pointing skyward, to match the o/s one. As the light was out, I fitted a new mount for the Mocal oil cooler as one of the old ones had completely broken. Access was a little cramped, but after undoing the one on the other side, managed to just about get enough access to first remove the remains of the old mount, then fit a new one. Then set about sorting out the driver's seat as the heating has never worked in it. Had a spare leather seat (beige), so tested it in the car and the heating worked fine. Stripped my seat down and inspected the wiring and elements- nothing apparently wrong, which was strange! So set about making one good working seat from the two. What utter ballache! Several hours later and I finally have a heated driver's seat. Happy days! 8) The illumination in the switch doesn't work- anyone changed the bulb in one? Not sure whether I can be bothered to sort this just yet! Still to do: Get the front of the sills sorted by a decent bodyshop. They've both been pushed in by some bad jacking in the past. Oil and filter change. Damn good clean. The poor thing looks terrible both inside and out at the mo! :( Think that's it!
  20. J18ACC Aqua Blue G60- my very first Rado. Currently still being used according to ASKMID... Also H163DDH- probably the nicest example I've owned (shhhh, don't tell the Storm!). Black 1.816v, concourse condition 8) Sold it to Darren (V8Rumbler), who then sold it around a year ago. Also looks like it's still being used...
  21. Bump for a nice solid shell complete with suspension and wheels.
