    Make sure you get the right ones.. early VRs had a dizzy and you can get cheaper leads for them... The coil pack HT leads are around £120 for a new set from VAG I think... :shock:

    Got a mk2 GTi as my runaround.... Got it ensured on a separate policy but..Admiral will mirror NCB across onto second policies.. so now got 7 and 8 years NCB on them respectively...

    I think some of them have 193/195BHP or so... Plus they have tiptronic gearboxes which make it easy to change gear v.quickly... so I'd say it depends on the driver skill in the VR and their regard/disregard for their manual gearbox..

    Jon- just found this thread- Glad you came off ok- hope you get the car sorted soon and would be v. interested to hear if anything was wrong with the car set-up so we can all check ours out to try and avoid future similar occurances...

    Nice motor.. and welcome There is no Hayes manual for the Corrado, but there is a Bentley manual which covers just about everything for the G60 and VR6..     I can see a definite market for event driven decals (eg Le Mans).. some of the decals on the TVR crowd this year were brilliantly funny... even if only left on for 5 days.. Its almost a year away though...

    When mine went.. got it bypassed in 5 min by AA man.. only problem was that the coolant had fryed my immobiliser...... so car wouldn't start...

    My car's very low - as you can see in my sig pic. I took a speed bump at 45mph while in France a few weeks ago (it stepped out in front of me :lol: ) - all 4 wheels left the road & my suspension's still okay. Didn't hit the sump either .. :shock: looked quite good seen from behind too! ')

    I got a set of the reds about 18 months ago for the best part of £100-120 for all 6,... they did sort my flat spots out though. And you can buy the plastic tool from VWs for a few quid too..

    Aha... miles away from us..... We managed to negotiate use of our neighbours paddling pool for the sunday which was an absolute godsend... That said there were a fair few 'antics' going on in and around houx Annexe (not all of them good). where we were. including a couple of tents deciminated by misfired fireworks..
