Ruined. Even 99p is too much for that
-
Welcome - it will be interesting to see if this is a new Storm on the forum.
-
VR6 is 6.9 secs. If it's a traffic light burn out then the skill/reaction of the driver will probably make all the difference in this match up:)
-
The Audi Quattro concept looked fantastic. Tbh the VAG stable have missed a trick as the new Jaguar XF coupe is going to get a lot of sales. Audi should've put it into production with a £40k+ price tag

I use the Phirm for regular servicing work on my Storm and they always do a good job. I've gone further afield (from my home in Bracknell) for bigger jobs - timing chains/288mm front brake conversion - DG Autotech and 263 cams and re-map - Stealth. I like to share the pounds around:)

I think a 1 series BMW is too small for a family car. As for a Mk 6 Golf it's a good car but I'm not sure it was that much of an improvement over the Mk 5. I'd look for Mk 5 Golf TDi around the £7k mark and save a few bob

Stonor today was all about quality and not quantity. 7 Corrados on the club stand all looking great in the sunshine. Other forum members also dropped by to say hello. At least I will have a good suntan going back to work tomorrow:)

I've been on holiday for 2 weeks so missed getting this issue of Autocar:( Was it a James Ruppert article on second hand cars or was it a very small write-up?
-
Back to the original subject. I met my neighbour today whilst washing the Corrado. Turns out the printing and publishing company he owns has just done some work for the production company that work on Wheeler Dealers. The job involved doing a PR doc for the cars to be featured on the next series. A Corrado was on the list:)
-
It's always good to get the publicity in Pistonheads. Just need a Corrado to be a PH hero and then we will be on to winner. At last I feel comfortable in thinking what I paid for my Corrado back in 2009 is what I would get for it today:)

M11 VWC Corrado drove past my street on Sunday. Anyone on here?

If you want your car to remain OEM then keep it. If it's not stating the bleedin' obvious in winter when you come back to the car and there's condensation all over its great to clear the rear window using the wiper. Rain-X related clearance will only happen once you're up and running

I think this is a fair price if the car is really in as good a condition as the description says it is. I genuinely think prices are rising for good examples.

The spoiler, actual aerodynamic aid or marketing ploy?

Surely 911's were the first. 993 Carrera's had them -

So much so that there were some nasty autobahn accidents which led to all Mk1 TT's being retro-fitted with them. Mind you Mk1 TT spoilers are fixed. It's only on Mk2 TT's that they are speed sensitive and rise at 74mph. There is a manual over-ride button as well so the cops don't automatically bust you:) -
Agree with other comments made about 4 cylinder Porsche's not hitting the mark. I'm lucky enough to run a 911 as a daily and it's the best car I've ever owned. I can't see a 944 having that much, if any, extra wow factor over your Corrado VR6 which is a great looking example when I saw it at Gaydon recently.

VR6 Storm Classic Green - back on the road

My Storm has spent the weekend with Christian at Invisible Touch detailing. Very pleased with the results and I think the car enjoyed hanging out with the P1 supercar fleet. Now need to keep the paintwork looking like this:) -
All the best. In Dubai there's no income tax so you should be quids in. I generally find overseas assignments are good for moving up the car ladder. Before my last one I had an Audi TT, I then spent 2.5 years in Oz and when I came back last year I bought a Porsche 911. I kept my Storm in storage with a forum member who is based in Yorkshire. I can PM details if you want.
-
I'll PM my details. My car goes to The Phirm for servicing albeit as it's not been turbo'd it's better on the CCGB stand then theirs. Excuse my ignorance but what's an E1K?
-
In regards to the Stealth remap following fitting of the 263 cams what was the increase in bhp? I had a plain vanilla install and my stock VR6 with 263 cams now comes out at 209bhp. The difference is in how much smoother the power delivery is and a little more urgency lower down the rev range.
-
Good day out at Gaydon. Approx 15 Corrados I think with many folk arriving in other cars. There were no G60's which was a surprise.
-
Just watched this on Sky+. Who in their right mind would sell their car for £5k and then buy it back for £9.5k

Drove mine to work today - 14 mile commute from Bracknell to Reading along the A329M. There's a black Corrado VR6 in the car park as well but it looks like it needs some TLC. Apart from the remnants of the sahara sand mine is looking OK. Didn't see anyone else with a classic on the road this morning.
