  1. Hmmm - mine is 60K - hat to think what it's worth now compared to 3 years ago when I bought it - ah well, won't be selling in any case.
  2. I modified one of the smaller Lego Falcons by building a full interior and detailing all the body - took me about four weeks and €150 in single parts ordered from the Lego custom shop - I'll have to dig out a few pics.
  3. Maybe not near to most on here - Dublin 15, Ireland.
  4. No problems with German ebay - as above, bank transfer is the preferred method, but works well. Shipping is never an issue, no tax, and they are very hones and items are very well described. I'm fluent as well, having been born there, so can help out if anyone has some questions. BTW, most of the them have good spoken and written english too, just send them a mail.
  5. Just had a look at some of the parts on ETKA - I'm hoping that the whole bumper won't have to come off - I should be able to work through it with the indicators and fogs removed. Looking at pictures of cars with these fitted, I definitely think that they look fine on darker coloured cars like mine, but not so sure about others. I also hope that there will be enough tubing as the routing will hae to be different to stock.
  6. Yep - it's also a different loom unfortunately, but you can splice it in. there's a small loom that connects from the switch, this needs earth, and illumination and a positive feed, then each motor takes a +/- andf a control signal from the switch rheostat.
  7. Yep - that's the one, still available from ARZ, classic parts and even the dealer's
  8. Thanks Pat - will call you after pay day this month to arrange order. What wiring changes are we going to need - is there a different relay ?
  9. Between airsoft guns and knives we are truninginto a survivalist nutjob site...
  10. http://wuesthof.de/desktopdefault.aspx/tabid-75/317_view-121/categories-121 I sharpen them with a stone, and then keep them hones with a diamond steel - a few strokes before using them each time will keep them in good shape - also never pu them in the dishwasher! The Nakiri (japanese rectangular knife) is a great all-rounder, and if you get either this or the cook's knife and and the serrated slicer, you'll never need much else in your kitchen - maybe a paring knife. Bear in mind that these are professional knives, and correspondingly expensive - but they'll easily outlast you if well looked after.
  11. Well, as an ex-chef, you can't beat a Wusthof Classic 8" cook's knife - pull that out of you bag on a dark night and you won;t have much of an argument with anyone!
  12. Should still be able to make this work with a little bit of extra drilling. Pat - I'm willing to give this a try - what do we need to do to get the ball rolling ?
  13. ARZ tuning have late ones for sale, als o VW Classic Parts. Do you have the adjustable lights themselves or are you retrofitting ?
  14. All available from the dealers for very little.
  15. Having just checked ETKA, there are two bumpers listed, one for headlight washers - so we'll need to ascertain what needs to be done to fit these, hopefully just drilling some holes.
  16. Haven't seen any over here in Dublin for months - and I'm on the M50 motorway every day. Feels like a lonely existence for me and my C.
  17. Hi Pat - do you have a list of the parts (no numbers needed) ? And is the tubing included ? ---------- Post added at 10:19 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:15 AM ---------- I've also read on Vortex, that standard bumpers had a preformed cut out for these (not visible from the outside) that can be punched out prior to installation. Could anyone with a bumper off their car confirm this ?
  18. Would be very interested in this - I have nearly every other extra except electric recaros and aircon on mine, so this would round it off nicely.
  19. Vacuum pump controlled by the cruise ECU that pulls the cable. Revs are measured from the coil to simulate a clutch sensor.
  20. I love automatics - no winding and no batteries - not the new solar/kinetic ones, but good old meachanical movements. My main watch is a Seiko 200m diver's auto:
  21. That's what I thought - have you got hold of any new ones recenlty to compare ? - and is there any testing I can do with a multimeter to try and figure out what's wrong...
  22. Don't have it to hand but believe it's F
  23. Ok - but why would the Chinese and UK switches work as normal (i.e iginition on, switch off, headlights off) and the German one not (ignition on, switch off, low beam on) ? This would imply no wiring fault, but two switches with exaclty the same fault. FYI I have an upgraded loom fitted and the dim dip disconnected.
  24. VAG OEM all the way for everyday driving.
  25. Keeping those ones as spares! I need to change the bulbs as well so they are both green and abit darker - don't like the bright red.
