Motorbike owners nr P'boro - speed limit protest ride Jun 6

You seem to have missed the part about up to the person riding it when quoting -
Again doesnt make sense to me. Profile is the same so makes no difference to speedo.

Isv has recently been replaced so believe it to be good. Red wire removed and it revs its balls off, around 4k. Will try for a pic underneath then. Think im going to have to get a sparky to look at it. Thank you for reply

to be fair the ones in your first link probably arent that bad. like most things nowadays they are made by the same people but dont have the badge tax put on them. for instance tesco's bog roll is exactly the same as charmin bog roll (my mate is an engineer at the place that makes it). stiff suspension is a bad thing in terms of top mounts/bearings etc, but this is no different to putting big ass wheels on a car really, provided you accept this is the case and budget for it then why the hell not.

Nice generalisation. I regularly follow bikers that are happy to sit with the traffic. Not all two-wheeled pilots have a death wish; some are just looking to get to work, etc. Personally, I ride a bike because they're way more exciting than cars. Part of that is the ability to make progress in traffic. I'm not daft enough to be 'up the arse' of the car in front though. There's really no need when you're on something that accelerates like even an averagely powerful bike does. to be fair says the man with a pic of a bike doing a wheelie down a housing estate :cuckoo: up to the person riding it really. living out in the sticks i see all different kinds of riders. mainly idiots i have to say though, thats possibly part of living near a race track more than anything else?? road closed for 8 hours a couple of weeks ago because a biker hit a wall, brown bread. -
24v V6 or R32 Factory Conversion with some extras.....
mimjed replied to 24V Renshaw's topic in Suppliers Forum
truthfully to me it seems a little bit steep with a 6 month wait on it, but not fully knowing whats involved i cant justify that thought. i know what you are offering is pretty specialised and therefore it will cost a few quid. im starting to want more power so im unsure where to go at the mo, hence my interest in the subject. love my dubs, but jap motors seem to be power friendly and generally not short of modern bits. sorry rambling -
yeah thats the one i mean. butterfly in the throttle body worth looking at too.
-
fair cop. id presume they would have to fall within a set tolerance though. + or - 5mm? otherwise they arent what they say on the tin.
-
im confused? a 195 tyre will be 195 wide and a 205 tyre will be 205 wide what do you mean? stretch may help, this can often help to reduce rubbing. also spacers, depends where its rubbing though. failing that your looking at rolling the arches.

could be it dude. turn the mechanism by hand as your throttle cable would a few times. youll see if it sticks. if it does just knock the clip back one and repeat until it stops.

i can aprreciate that. just trying to get an idea of total cost, so it can be compared to other options. i love the idea of a modernised rado. but as were all aware with vr turbo kits and the likes available it makes it a tough call. -

think you do need to give a guide price to gauge interest really. nice work by the looks of things. -
the brown plug is the harness for the speakers. and the other two seem to be connections to put into the speakers. id presume for the speakers in the top of the dash. have a butchers at the ones in your parcel shel supports for comparison. but you never know as you say, it has been dicked around with. (i hate the gimp who messed with my motor)

we all know that feeling. mine is running poop at the mo and im in the same boat. just have to keep the faith........or turn to crime to support the money pit
-
i think you posted this before? does the horn work? i think the wires for the horn may have been plugged into the indicator. ive seen a fog light that is constantly on because of this same reason. worth a look as it only takes seconds to change them round. connections are behind passenger side headlight.

I sincerely hope you don't actually mean this.. i do dude. i only go for people who are cocks though. i dont do this to any old random bloke in a beemer  im not a complete ass (most of the time anyway).

i have very little knowledge about the tps, but believe it is what is causing my problems. idle constantly goes up and down between 1000 rpm and around 1450 rpm. when on full throttle there is a funky sounding high pitched noise and the old girl doesnt really go anywhere. anywhere inbetween the two and it drives normally. so how do i test it? or can anyone tell me what its doing/not doing? also a pic of the correct order for the cables would be a massive help. its been put on spade connectors, which may be part of the problem to be honest. so if anyone has one of these plugs or knows of another one that will fit it, yes please.
-
Not so much love for it now. Wont idle and crap to drive at the mo.
-
id go with dead head gasket as a guess. oil in water or vice versa? drinking coolant? may be worth asking a garage to chuck some indicator stuff in, pretty reliable test. but could be other things, piston rings/seals etc. i seem to think i was told cylinder 1 and 4 run the hottest and will go first.

are they electric? didnt spot that. if they are electric then yeah granted, some people will pay £5-600. provided they are working that is :D
