    Camping It Up

Looking smart there walesy :) Im doing my conversion at the moment! Be prepared to empty your wallet, ive spent over £6500 so far including buying the van and still no where near finished, Ive enjoyed every minute so far though, The 2.5 Tdi engine is great, loads of torque and surprisingly quick for a van  Ive used a cannons forge bed and ikea units The bed is a three quarter and plenty big enough for two and im a fat tw :censored: t  Heres a couple of pics of mine
  3. How you getting on with ya van walesy, Any pics! Im just doing my conversion now (sorry to hijak thread)
  4. Proper skill! Amazing looking scoob!!
  5. Maybe, But i sanded them down so he will probably moan about that
  6. Everything was rebuilt with mostly genuine parts and torqued up to the correct settings
  7. Mot stations! Dont you just love them  The corrado failed yesterday on my tinted rear lights not showing enough amber light for indicators, I know its my own fault for spraying them, But the amount of money i have spent on the car this year doing all the suspension and all the bushes, bearings, G60 brakes, Underneath is totally renewed and he still tried to say there was play in the top mounts  There brand new, It Pi :censored: es me off when you see all these young lads driving around in heaps of sh*t, A young lad i know always has a laugh at me when my corrado fails and his m reg Rot ridden escort passes without any problems.... Arghhhh, Rant over  Anyway has anybody got any rear lenses for sale cheap, Just to get me through the mot and then im going to put the others back on...
  8. Thanks all for the tips, Will try the bulbs and go from there! Wish me luck with the mot,
  9. Thanks! Know what you mean about the loom, but just looking for quick fix before saturday to get through the Mot
  10. Mot Time again :( Last time they moaned about the beam on my headlights not being strong enough and was wondering if anyone has used some higher quality bulbs or higher watage, Just a quick fix really before buying a better loom.. Any ideas :)
  11. Thanks guys, Off on me hols to majorca in 10 mins so will have a go next week!
  12. Any ideas how to remove oily handmarks of The plastic Door cards off a VWT4 :) Just bought one to turn int a camper and its come from a air compressor service company so covered in oil :( Dont fancy using turps as it will smell worse than it does now :)
  13. You got it in the end kip! nice one :)
  14. Getting in and out! Which is hard work  especially when your 41 and a tad overweight
  15. Or autoglyms Aqua Wax, Brilliant stuff, Just spray it on when the cars wet and rub it on and then polish off! I always do it between wax`s
  16. As tonedef says ! Youl never keep up with your mates evo in an s3 unlles its been heavily modified! Its just not the same sort of car, The evo is Rally car for the road and the S3 is an expensive executive luxury fast hatch! I have driven my mates evo 4 many times and its really capable on the twisties, endless power and feels at home on fast windy roads but isn`t as comfortable and uses a lot more fuel! You can drive forever in the S3 and still feel fresh when you get out it! Horses for courses as they say!! I loved mine :)
  17. That questions always getting asked on the Audi forum but custom code,Revo and APR are the big players but there are many others like awesome that do a good remap! Rule of thumb is make sure its mapped on the car as its rolling not one of the maps that just come out of a box :)
  18. When i had my 225 bhp S3 i wish i had remapped mine but with it being low mileage and a late 03 one i chickend out as it owed me £13000! But believe me most S3 owners on the Audi forum have mapped there`s and you do get a reliable 265 bhp if you use custom code or the other top Mappers! And sometimes i think it needed it as it can feel a bit dull at times with the extra drag with 4wd! Nice car buy one and map it 8) You wont be dissapointed :D
  19. Iv`e just done a full brake upgrade on my 16v and upgraded to G60 brakes and iv`e used crn grooved discs front and rear and there really good and most of the Mitsi evo`s use them so they must be pretty good.. heres a link for you http://www.crnproducts.co.uk
  20. Nice looking cake there mate! And i do like CAKE :) But more importantly what a thoughtfull sister you have  Happy birthday...
  21. I always make sure i slide the seat right back before i get out and leave it there untill i get back in, Gives you so much more room to get in! Try it you`l be surprised :) Makes it a bit easier, Everybody who gets in the corrado says what a ball ache it is to get in
  22. I Know what you mean jim, frustrating to say the least, on my way to stanford hall i got stuck behind a wagon with a range rover sport on my tail nearly touching my bumper with a young child in the passenger seat jumping up and down  when the wagon eventually moved out of the way i gave the valver everything it had but he flashed his lights at me as i was moving out of his way he shot past me with ease and then to add insult to injury he put his hazard lights on and gave me a salute!! If i would of been in my S3 he wouldn`t of done that, There just not quick enough these days unless you have a VR6 Or G60..
  23. After my extensive rebuild of just about everything suspension and brake related I am still having problems with the rear calipers, The rear wants to meet up with the front :) If you brake really hard as if one of the calipers is not working properly, I thought this might settle down after a week or say as is suggested on a couple of posts but after a spirited drive this afternoon it apeared again :( I just wondered if there was a way to make sure they brake evenly by adjusting the pistons! I have re-bled them and everything is ok there, and replaced the seals so not really much more i can do other than replace them, Or could it be the compensator  Any experiances please before this thing relievs me of yet more Doh
  24. thanks dr_mat it was the fuse blown for the mirrors that was causing it :) these corrados have some weird quirks!
