  1. Welcome to the forum. Sharing your pain on the steamed up windows - my Corrado is almost permanently fogged up at the moment and it's driving me crazy. Never thought dark green and black alloys would work but yours looks excellent!
  2. The price to camp at Bruntingthorpe seems pretty decent despite the lack of facilities!
  3. Does it keep running if you rev it? Or does it just cut out regardless of the revs?
  4. I was wondering if it was more likely to be some kind of wiring issue :|

LM's and CH's are pretty much the only aftermarket wheels I'd put onto my Corrado now - but at the sorts of prices they command, I don't think it'll be happening any time soon!
  6. Good stuff :) Regarding the headlight I guess it could be any number of things. As a quick test maybe worth swapping the bulbs around and seeing if the higher output moves to the other side, in which case just a new pair of bulbs would do the trick. Otherwise it's possible the reflector in one unit might be in worse condition perhaps so giving worse light output?
  7. The ISV problem can just start, and it can also be intermittent as to when it occurs. Honestly I owned a 2.0 16v for like 5 years and had a troublesome ISV for about 6 months of that ownership.. just started out of the blue and would sometimes happen, and sometimes wouldn't. New ISV and it never happened again - always idled perfectly. Of course it's entirely possible it's not the ISV, but honestly for what it costs to get a known good working one (usually about £20) or even just to take yours off and give it a clean (which often helps and is like a 20 minute job tops) then it's worth trying.
  8. Most likely going to be the ISV. It always is on 2.0 16v's that won't idle! You can try removing it and giving it a good blast of carb cleaner.. but you'll most likely need to buy a new or good used one.
  9. "High likelihood of a sausagefest in progress…"
  10. Hopefully just a misunderstanding - lets wait and see!
  11. I'm sure I bought one a couple of years ago and it wasn't cheap, but it wasn't ludicrous either - in the sort of £20'ish range.
  12. I have never sold Corrado bits on eBay but my general rule of thumb is I expect / hope prices will be fair and realistic on this forum, but that all bets are off on eBay. If people started listing things at those sorts of prices on here they'd get chased out of town by the pitchfork wielding mob anyway :)
  13. Barry - if you could get yourself up to 5 posts and submit proper sales posts for the cars, that would be appreciated. Will lock this as its become a covert sales thread.
  14. So this would bolt onto an ABV engine no problems, simply with the cams swapped?
  15. Never seen this car around - weird. But that looks like Odeon / Skydome carpark!
  16. Hm - that's annoying - the paperwork that came with the car wasn't exactly clear on how you fitted it, and it wasn't exactly obvious. I don't mind too much - as I've said several times on here I'm not finding the aerial intrusive and I actually don't notice it at all. And interestingly after a random search, this person has fitted his pretty similarly.. https://www.mr2oc.co.uk/forums/43/158332.html But it does explain why that little tab was left over. Ho hum. I'll live with it for now until I feel flush enough to go and buy another one and rip this one out.
  17. Seems like a good result after that ordeal. Hope you can move on now mate.
  18. What's infuriating is that he can slag off folks like Kip in all of his eBay auctions, but they can't tell their side of the story. Wonder if we should report all his auctions to eBay? Surely there must be rules about this sort of thing.
  19. I pretty much always buy Bosch Silvers - always last really well :) Usually get a good price on them at Costco if you happen to be a member.
  20. Always interesting to see what you do with this car. Look forward to seeing the updates.
  21. I was going to say - are you sure he's supplied you with the correct CV joint? I did one of mine on the VR last year and was thinking that the main er 'shaft' out of the cv joint looks too long?
  22. I'm pretty sure it wouldn't. But as I say, I don't find it particularly intrusive tucked into the corner on the windscreen. In fact I don't notice it at all when driving. See my pictures in previous pages :)
  23. I was thinking of doing the same but I don't think it will, Dave :( At least not the one I bought. But there may be other options which would.
  24. Indeed it will do iPod. I've not tried it with mine yet though as I tend to just prefer sticking a load of MP3's on a Pen Drive. In terms of coverage. As promised I drove up to Grimsby and back today (250 mile round trip) and made sure I had the DAB on for good portions of the journey. I was a little disappointed as I went through some of the Lincolnshire countryside that DAB reception on more local and less well known stations did break up and even vanish a few times, but switching back to the main national stations, reception remained very strong and clear for the entire trip. For example we had BBC Radio Humberside on for the local football results and even by the time we were out at Caistor there were periods when I was struggling to keep reception for it. So certainly a mixed bag, but overall I'm still extremely pleased with the head unit and DAB in general. I only ever really listen to Radio 4 (grandad!!) so I'm sorted. There really are some weird DAB stations too - found one call BIRDSONG that was, you guessed it, just the sound of birdsong. Crazy.
