just copy what this guy does http://www.dieselgeek.com. Made my own short shift, had it break, modified it, refined it, happy with it, but it was ugly (the car was a stripped out mk2 vr6), so I bought a B&M. I can honeslty say, without a shadow of a doubt that this was the single, most frustrating, and dissapointing item I have ever bought. Absolute sh1te. Looks great, really well made, but a poor design, that just doesn't work. The cable fell off it more times than I can remember, and I even emailed B&M and got them to change their design as the clips they were suppliying were utter crap (no idea why they didn't make it so you could use the excellent VW clips). Avoid at all costs. make your owm ,or if you can't, ask H8RRA or anyone else who can make them.

I got a few 4 motion back axles and spare gearboxes.... -
great colour choice, always look good in silver.

I suggest you look at your breather system and try and get a lift to bug jam!

yes, that'me in PVW, but it's HORROCKS, not Horricks, gits. as for the 4wd, well, considering I didn't have a rear anti roll bar on, yes, it made a MASSIVE difference!!! first lap out I beat my previous best time, and it was slightly damp (very greasy) and the tyres were cold and not scrubbed in. I felt like I could have given it a hell of a lot more, so next lap I did. IT's a weird feeling, the car actually feels a bit slower, becasue rather then the engine screaming it's nuts off and spinning the wheels up (giving you the IMPRESSION that you're going fast) the engine revs don't seem to rise as quickly, becasue it's actually putting all the power to the ground. I wasn't getting any wheelspin at all. Even the guy doing the timing said my car was quicker than everything else on the track out of the first bend and into the second. It felt weird at first, but Igot used to it by the end of the day. It does understeer ever so slightly (probably and hopefully because of the lack of a rear ARB), but also because of the way the syncro system works. I have a peloquin diff in the front, so on a corner, when I boot it, the inside tyre will lose grip, so power is transferred to the other tyre. when BOTH lose grip then the viscous coupling does it's job of transferring power to the rear. To describe this in practice- you have to really push on the bends, get on the power earlier than you would with FWD (because you'd understeer and run out of road with FWD if you gassed it too soon) and let the front go. just keep on the power, it'll break away eventually, and as soon as it goes, the back end comes into effect and PUSHES the front back into line. scary at first, and really difficult to get used to as it's an automatic response to lift to bring the front end around, but if you keep it planted it does it's job. I've decided the recaros are crap for track use. I was falling out of the seats! litterally hanging onto the steering wheel to stay put. I still didn't feel it felt that quick, the extra weight has numbed the engine power slightly, but for the extra grip I have it was infinitely worth it. The car has settled down now too, no more stupod error codes in the way, and the more I drive it the better it's adapting, so the ECU is giving me more and more power as it learns. it's getting faster and faster now, I'm loving it. Cams next :-) (already got them!)

you can get around the unequal inlets by fitting longer trumpets to the front bank. check out grant motorsport, he's the don for ITB's

I was looking at that car at GTI fest, wondered who's it was, neat install.
-
I must admit, I was tempted to try the R32 wheels on, but seeing as the 205/40/17's rub at the back I don't think I'll bother.

298bhp on a bandit! I'm amazed you could hang on!! I've been on a dynojetted 12000bandit and that was bad enough!
-
Imagine it with half tint stock rear lights, and tinted stock front lights, with a rieger grille and deep front spoiler. and on anthracite TSW hockenheims with machine cut rims, that's how it used to look. It was in Golf extreme years ago.

try cleaning out your ISV, air inlet boot and throttle body.

LOL! satin??? it's just the way it's been photographed (or rather the lighting in the studio, it's actually a VERY high gloss. Any daylight pictures Lee? every time I see the car it looks almost black?? mines meant to be the same colour but it's nowhere near the same shade?? where's all the metallic red flake gone?
-
no, he hasn't done ANYTHING himself actually. all the decent work (interior, engine) was done by the previous owner who is a very good mate of mine, then this clown bought it and told a bodyshop to ruin it for him......I nearly bought the car myself back then, wish I had now :-(
-
I think the plate is pretty cool
-
yes, my mate had one in his old corrado, and I believe doublezero has one in his?

been running it on steels for daily use so as not to wear out the soft track tyres. but I'l be uprating the brakes soon so the steels won't fit so I've sold them. will be running it on those TT wheels for the time being. Got some R32 wheels I could try for a laugh! BBS have been done to death, and I'm not mad keen on them, but I have a nice wide set so they can go on now and then. yes, porsche wheels have been done to death, but I've only seen one other set like the ones I have so I think they'll still be quite exclusive and a bit different. ultimatley I want to sell the BBS RS's when they are refubed and get hold of some polished LM's, they are just amazing wheels, I have to have some.

tweeters normally have a built in capacitor which acts as a basic crossover to protect them.

the camber isn't much more than the front wheels really, look at the 2nd and 3rd pics. It's the wider arches that make the wheel look sat further in than it really is. obviously there is SOME negative camber, the outside inch of so of the tyre is doing nothing in a striaght line. anyway, it's too low at the back, the tyre is catching all the time on the inner wheelarch, and tyre rubbing is one of my (many) pet hates and I won't have it. Not that keen on the TT wheels actually. only bought them as they'll clear the boxster s calipers. they are my track wheel really! Happy with the over all look though, not too modified, just enough to make people look twice. To settle it I'll actually MEASURE the camber out back then send the tool to you en to measure yours, and we'll do coxy's too just to make sure. (BTW, I had to bottle out and use a rallye rear subframe, as the hole for th ebushes in the vr6 syncro one were too big for my new bushes. when I get powerflex to make me some vr6 syncro ones the camber will be better as the sunframe is actually drilled to match the wishbones, so if you mix and matxh it'll never be quite right).

well, I was MEANT to be fitting my new GKN outer CV joints, but I went to the dealers for my new lambda probe and borke down yet again on the way home. I'm having bother with the fuel pump. I can't find an adhesive that will hold the vr6 fuel pump location ring in the bottom of the tank, and I'm not running the vr6 pump, which doesn't even have a slot for this ring, it's spring loadined off the cap, but since I have a syncro tank it's too deep to work. I'd modified it to fit but it's come loose and the pump was floating around the tank. so once i'd got to less than 3£ of fuel in the tank the pump (now on it's side) was sucking in air. so I had to pull over and try and fix the pump upright in blistering heat at the sode of the road. Got it sorted na got me home. then had to spend the day sorting out a new way of holding the pump in the tank. did that, but had to tear out the bigger neck I'd plastic welded into the tank. took me all bloody day to weld it back until it was strong enough and sealed up. Got the lamdba probe in and swapped them round so they are in the right pies at last. The lambda probe error has gone, but the car still isn't 100%. it's revving well, and sounding better than ever, but I'm still getting cam timing errors. need to get the 4 pin brake and clutch swithces fitted and hook up the speedo signal to the ecu before it'll be truly happy. oh, and I kicked the wheely bin really hard in a fit of frustration.......wished I'd checked to see if it was full first.... (it was, and it f*cking hurt, and now my foot is black and blue) will be running the car at santa pod tomorrow just to make a noise, I bet it's only putting out 200bhp, if that, but it sounds so good I can't not run.
