That's perfectly normal... I've been lusting after a Corrado since about 1995-ish, when I finally got one - I couldn't believe it. I kept having to look out of the window at home to check it was really a Corrado parked on my drive...
-
I reckon he's zarman on this very forum....
-
Doesn't need to act as a "lens" - the HID lights have their own inbuilt, it's just a cover to keep the crap off...
-
I was originally going to comment on this thread but it's been super-speedy locked ;-) For an alternative, how about some Audi A4 lights on the "TT Rado"
-
I don't think so. Look for some interesting discussions on G60 vs. VR6  ....

...Nor a beesting!....[/quote:a491d] And de-seamed rear panel plus no exhaust visible from the rear  plus valance cutout filled in Hmmmmmmmmm. Must be good fun to drive this one, no door mirrors, no wipers - blimey why didn't they go the whole hog and weld up the doors (general Lee style :-) ) & de-seam the doors too while they were at it... ;-)
-
...and no wipers... :? Well, the OE ones are so PANTS you're probably better off with a can of Rain-X and dollop of good luck ;-) Anyway, over 90mph-ish the water gets blown off the screen anyway :D
-
Also - there's no door mirrors, side repeaters or rubbing strip either - adding to the "smooooooooove" look ;-)

Anyone recognise this wheel/tyre combo and/or the car?
stormseeker replied to stormseeker's topic in Engine Bay
Is that the Colour on this Corrado? Must admit, the colour's growing on me - I take it it's cream leather inside then too.... just think I can make out a bit of the headrest in the picture... 8) nice. -
They're Audi A6 handles I think. The passat rears look identical to the standard Corrado fronts, except there's no lock cylinder - i.e. nowhere to stick your key!!!

Are Corrado's the best looking affordable car ever?

does http://www.corradoclub.co.uk/design.html help? don't know who did the scirocco/delorean though. -
NEW ALLOYS new pictures as promised..... cheers

And when's the big-brembo-brake discs going on - those front discs (and the rears too!) look completely lost in those hoooooooooooooj wheels :? ;-) -

stormseeker replied to PhatVR6's topic in General Car Chat
You're probably asking the wrong people - I think you might get a slightly biased response :-) What you need is an independent source, like the BBC's motoring programme, what's it called again.... Oh yeah - they certainly reckoned it was alright - or did they just say it was the only "acceptable" one of the bunch of 80s/90s coupes... Nip over to the calibra forum and ask them what they think !!! (Has anyone been on there since the Corrado top gear article poked fun at the Calibra???) -

stormseeker replied to stormseeker's topic in Engine Bay
Yeah thats it, he was working for VW and apparantly stole a bunch of engines? Now hes banged up - or so the rumour goes. Wonder if he smuggled them out in his briefcase bit by bit LOL :D :D Wonder what's happened to the car? Bet it's got even more gangsta cred now the owner's inside HA! 8) 8) 8) -

Top Man! Better start saving my pennies now then :-) 1. for the wheels (bet they're cheap! NOT) and 2. for the metalwork  TVM Lee -
8) I've just found this picture on the edition38 site... EDIT-see thumbnail below-vr6storm ...and I reckon the wheel/tyre combination and the amount of lowering is absolutely spot on 8) Anyone recognise the wheels and their probable size? ? ? Not sure about the coulour  or the UPS graphics :?:  but the lowering and wheels are 8) 8) 8)

How is the 'new' CCGB going to differ from the old?
stormseeker replied to Leonard's topic in Archive
Taking a real cynics view then leonard, what's to stop you joining, utilising the discounts etc. but then not have anything else to do with anything or anyone CCGB related? -
I've got a Blue N reg VR, I work in the NW - but it's a big place - you might have to be a bit more specific :-)

I never knew the Corrado was so versatile
stormseeker replied to VR6 South's topic in General Car Chat
that must be Keyhaywire's - isn't he in Woodbridge???? :D :D :D -
There's a procedure for doing the adjustment in the Bentley Manual that refers to a "shift gage" - sounds quite easy but if you haven't got the gage then... who knows. There a procedure on the CCA website too - click here

Henny beat me to it 8) Kev - just a small point - the cct diag shows 2 x 2k2 resisitors, but your note above mentions 2 x 220k :?: :?: :?: I've built mine with 2k2 - worked ok on the bench :?:

M***BLF spotted 17:15 ish 2/12/2003 Northbound on the M6 around J17 ish - didn't get to see model or colour as: 1. it was dark 2. I didn't actually notice this C until I'd nearly passed it when my wife shouted "SNAP!!!" :-)
-
Ooh, nice idea... I like that... 8) that was Kev's idea also a good idea... I'm half way through building one of these, and that was my first thought... I'm also thinking about putting in a switch so that I can flick it to "night" setting and make it much dimmer... If I get really carried away, I may even put in a light sensor and make it dim automatically!  Looks good so far though stormseeker 8) yeah - I thought about dimming too...

The position of the red LED above the bargraph marks stoichiometric - i.e. perfect mix. I've made it bar/dot switchable and will install a power switch when it gets installed in the car - just in case it's too distracting for me when driving.
