Renault have always had strong motorsport teams. It's a shame they build such b0llox cars really.

Well, I have to say that race was more exciting than the entire last leason. I may even follow it this year.

About £4 from Halfords while stocks last. Be quick. I highly doubt it's your problem though.

Conti Sport Contact and Conti Premium Contact tyres

I didn't say there wasn't such a thing as synthetic rubber. It just sounded funny to me at the time. It was almost midnight after all :) -
..and you gave that up WHY?!

They'd be 'there' but with no assistance. Have you ever tried to stop a car at speed with brakes devoid of servo-assistance? Not fun.

As opposed to what? Synthetic rubber? Madness! -

http://www.tyretest.com/pkw_sommerreifen/continental/index.html I've never used either so all I can suggest is that you read some user reviews and make your mind up from there. The Sport Contact seem to get a better review in general. I only discovered that site tonight but I was pleased to see that the general public share my high opinion of the Hankook Ventus Sport K104. Awesome tyre and cheap. -
So the four police cars and the helicopter were a lot of help then! Seriously though, what time of day did it happen? They did well to avoid a much bigger incident I guess.

There are four bolts (I wouldn't be surprised if at least one is missing though) that secure the bumper. They pass through the front cross-member and bolt into captive nuts on the bumper brackets in the chassis legs. It's a good idea to support the engine if removing the bumper as the four bolts represent the majority of the cross-member support. Like Riley says, there are a couple of other smaller bolts securing the cross-member so the bumper can be removed without supporting the engine but I don't trust them.

If you're using an early slam panel then the early headlights should fit (I think). I'm not sure I'd fit the early stuff to a late car myself. It may well affect the resale value and prompt questions about front-end accidents.

Why was he doing 130mph in the first place? Is he saying the throttle stuck open at 50mph and he just hung on until 130mph then crashed?! Yeah...riiiiight :)
-
Christ. I'd forgotten all about this!
-
lol...I'm glad you sorted the problem. It's a beautiful car chap.

Anyone daft enough to buy a £10k car without an HPi check is asking for that sort of grief. Sanj, you shouldn't have any problems proving that it wasn't you. It must be pretty common these days. My mate got a London congestion charge bill for his girlfriend's Nova a while back. The car has never been out of Norfolk in its life. He got is sorted easily but the story even made the local paper :)

So what was causing the running problem? It may help someone that has the same problem in the future. There's no place for secrets here :)

It still amazes me that they managed to make a grid of 850bhp cars so boring to watch last year.

SLK32 AMG supercharger INSTALLED PICS!!!!!!!! last page!!!!!

What does that do then? -
The whole point of forced induction is to cram more air into the same space and, hence, allow more fuel to be burned. Therefore when running high boost pressure, like a lot of 200SX owners are, the fuel demands can easily go beyond the standard pump's capacity. I have no doubt that the standard VR6 pump is well capable of supplying all the fuel a normally aspirated 24v engine demands. I'm pretty sure some of the supercharged VR6s on this forum are runing on the standard pump. Like trigger says, start with the fuel filter.

While it's running, disconnect one plug lead at a time. You should be able to tell if any of the cylinders aren't firing if removing a lead has no effect on the way it's running. If that test shows a non-firing cylinder (or two) it'll likely be either a lead or the distributor cap at fault. If all cylinders are firing then maybe the crankshaft pulley key has sheared and screwed up the cam timing. Check the timing marks all line up for a start.

Riley! Long time no hear. D90s look ace on both your cars :)
-
Does the car still run badly or did the fault come and go?

GSF. £120 + VAT or lots more from VW.

It's a glorious feeling to be able to go to the car and know it's going to start after months of daily battery recharges!

100mph? I can but dream of such speeds...
