Nice! Cheers chap.

How about posting the link for that other thread here for those that are vaguely interested but slightly lazy?.....like me!

Two Chassis Numbers?! Any body seen this before?! 92 G60
bcstudent replied to juloesG60's topic in Engine Bay
My friend's Lotus Elise is the same - the RAC guy picked it up on a pre-purchase inspection. A call to Lotus resulted in a letter confirming it was a factory error and totally legitimate. He was a bit concerned for a while though. -
Pics of car with new suspension and wheels

Gotta love that Chameleon paint. -
It's a shame we don't have a system like the North Americans. This is a pic I took on a highway in Victoria, Canada in 2002. The car was occupied by a couple who appeared to be well into their 60s!

That's strange. What's so bad about Calibras? There are definitely worse cars on the road!
-
Why do people worry about resprays and accidents anyway? Provided the repair work is done properly and the car looks good, what's the problem? It's just a metal box with wheels.

lol

This was already posted on the forum recently. Nice try though!

My guess would be the Americans never got over the Canadians burning down the White House in 1812. Hey, Gone, how do you fancy giving me a ride from Vancouver airport to the Tsawwassen ferry in May? That damn bus takes too long!

You guys want to see a MK4 jump? Filmed last night (Video)

Not bad, but nowhere near as entertaining as the last one with the Frou Frou soundtrack. I'd say another one of those is just about due.... -
I'm really hankering after a diesel motor next. I thought it was just me getting old!

I don't believe you'll be requiring an exhaust catalyst. I'm unsure of the exact laws involved, but my mate's dad owns an MOT station garage and he was explaining it once. I remember there was something about a six month change-over period between '92 and '93 registered cars. The long and the short of it was another mate's '92 K-plate Calibra Turbo was not required to have a cat. fitted for its MOT at the end of last year. I'm off to try and find some more detailed info. about this....

It's a kit that you install to allow your car to run on liquified petroleum gas (LPG) fuel. The main components in the kit will usually consist of a secondary gas tank with its own filling point, gas injectors, a vapouriser, an electronic control unit and a switch to activate/deactivate the gas system from within the car. The benefit of such a system is the (currently) low duty being charged on LPG fuel by the government. You'd have to travel a fair few miles to cover the cost of the system and installation with the savings though. It's a good solution for petrol-powered taxis and company vehicles.

Two good sites with plenty of info. for anyone planning a trip to the 'ring: http://www.nurburgring.org.uk/ http://www.roadracers.co.uk/nring.htm Admittedly, the roadracers site is motorcycle biased, but it's still relevant.

I've got a few Mk.2 8v ISVs in the shed. What part number do you need? Incidentally, I believe the 8v ISV looks very similar to the one in that link.

Beautiful....nice house too.

I've never bothered with changing the wishbone bushes on any VW I've owned. A complete wishbone from GSF is cheap enough to outweigh the hassle.....IMO.
-
Am I the only one not seeing anything? *EDIT* Ah ha
-
There are two bushes on each wishbone but the rears are a bit of a nightmare to change. While the wisbone's are out you may as well replace the inner bushes on the ARB too since they only cost a couple of quid. I suppose the droplinks that connect the ARB to the wishbone are also fair game and less than a tenner each.

Hasn't Furki got a set of Wolfrace wheels on his car? I'd hardly call them tacky.

Gran Turismo 4 - what do you think of it?
bcstudent replied to Bojmobile's topic in General Car Chat
Ok, so who's been playing with the photo mode? Anyone wanna post some pics of their favourite GT4 cars? I had a quick go with the Mk.1 Golf but I'm not particularly artistic! Of course, there could also be a "who can make the most hideous car?" competition.... -

That's pretty heroic man. What you driving in the race? I used the Jaguar XJR-9 Race Car '03 you get for 50% game completion. On hard/super hard tyres it'll do four laps before pitting and laps in the low six minute area - considerably faster than the M3 GTR that I lapped 21 times in the course of the race. 99% of the race was done in B-spec because of the time saving at x3 speed but it was still eight damn hours.
