  1. Cool, I will keep an eye out for the photos.
  2. Looks cool, I spent 5 weeks in NZ and in that time I only saw one Corrado. It was white and in Auckland near the Sky Tower.
  3. You can get EL sheets from RS for around £5, and an inverter for £25 according to their CD catalogue. I'm looking into a series of LEDs for mine. I'll keep you updated.
  4. Officialy it's a VW dealer job, but I have adjusted mine on both my previous Golf GTIs and my Corrado. On a 16v there is a bracket attached to the rear beam with a spring connecting it to the bias valve. The bracket has an elongated hole for the spring attachment. Basically you would need reduce the tension on the spring to reduce the rear braking. The VR6 is different, and I've never seen one, so hopefully someone with a VR will be able to help you more. If you do attempt it yourself, make sure you understand how it works and are confident in the adjustment you are making. It's job although probably not as much of an issue on ABS equipped cars is to stop the rear wheels locking under heavy breaking.
  5. I have Goodridge hoses on mine, and didn't notice any real difference. Bleeding the system through seems more tricky on these, I put 1.5 litres of fluid through mine before eventually getting a firm pedal. The brake bias valve for the rear brakes can add alot of travel if not set up correctly. Did you adjust yours when you lowered it?
  6. Well I quite like it, if it had BBS's or something more to normal tastes, no one would even notice it. Good to see some experimentation.
  7. I was running the recommened 36 front 32 rear, but have just reduced it to 32 front and I think it was 28 at the rear. Have to say it drives a hell of a lot better with the lower pressures. Trouble is even at 36psi at the front the outsides of the tyres were wearing quicker than the inside which suggests its under inflated.
  8. gradeAfailure, Cheers mate, very useful, looks like I may be purchasing some LEDs soon then...
  9. I'll have a look in A20Lee's gallery. My dad was suggesting LEDs too, mainly because they don't produce heat.
  10. I've had a bit of a rummage around on the search. but couldn't find anything. Yep I got a 2 watt bulb instead of 1.2 watts, but it doesn't solve it.
  11. Does anyone elses heater controls illuminate fine on the centre knob (fan speed) and very dim on the outer two? Any ideas how to solve this? There is only one bulb which is behind the central knob, the light is supposed to be carried by perspex light prisms to illuminate the controls.
  12. Depends on which vag-com you have. I'm hoping to set myself up with the right version soon.
  13. Cool, £50k for an executive car powered by a modified Lamborghini engine, sounds reasonable.
  14. Can't remember the first time I saw one, but I remember sitting in a new VR6 in my local dealers showroom, when I had a Mk1 GTI, I loved it. I didn't actually like the styling very much, but after 2 Polos and then using a MK1 Golf everyday I wanted something a little more refined, but different and it had to be VW. I did want a Mk2 Golf 16v for a while, but didn't like the interior, whereas I really did like the Corrado interior. In the end I got a 1990 8v Golf, because I couldn't afford a Rado at £6000 for a G reg 16v!!! The Golf was great, I kept it for 5 years, but I was cleaning it up for inters one year, and thought, "Its just not a Corrado". 7 days later I put a deposit on the second C I looked at. That was 3.5 years ago and I still have it today! I find a lot of people don't even notice it, but anyone who's in to cars show quite an interest.
  15. No, I don't like that, but as Phil K said its good that people try different things - If they didn't it would be very boring.
  16. Can you post the files up??
  17. I had clutch judder from oil on the clutch. In my car's case it was the rear main oil seal. Check for oil leaks around the bell housing.

Nope not on a 2.016v anyway. This may suprise you, but I've changed between cat and decat on mine several times, and prefer it with the cat. It feels more torquey. I personally would keep it and spend the money on other parts. I put new injectors on mine at around 140k miles and noticed a definate improvement. Plus you won't have to refit the cat for the mot.
  19. It would be interesting to see a comparison between the two manifolds. I had Schrick 268/276 cams in mine for about one month, but couldn't get decent power out of them. Now back to KR spec, IMHO a very good set up for every day fast road use.
  20. Thats a nice amount of power. I take it that is with k-jet, and WUR mod?
  21. Thanks mate, probably about the same height as yours in them photos! It is lower now than it is in my signature. I really like the ones with Porsche wheels, maybe because I want a Porsche, but my C is as near as I can get at the moment.
  22. I'm quite happy with the ABS on mine. The traction control fitted to the Seat I used to own was a nightmare though.
  23. My Mk3 calipers had the thread fitting, not banjo! I had to replace the calipers too, because the discs are thicker. The only way I could get away with using my original calipers (which I wanted too do) would have been to file some of the friction material off the pads - not at all ideal.
  24. Yes, straightforward, remove calipers from carriers as normal. Then the carriers un bolt from the hub, re-assemble all new items and bleed! Theres no tweaking or modifying of any components, they are all interchangable.
